Relaxed place, really good food! The shrimp in a citric sauce was perfect! The squid salad was a very nice surprise! The glass of wine was a little bit expensive. But the proximity with the water of Bahia de Todos os Santos is priceless...

Great view. It is located right by the sea, with a wood deck over it, at the marina. Very nice place for eating by the sunset. Food is excellent.

Lafayette is located in Bahia Marina, same owners of Soho. The ambiance on the marina is very nice, the place well outfitted, the service adequate. This comes at a price! There were 6 of us for dinner and each couple ordered a salad and a main course, a bottle of wine and water. The food arrived in a timely manner, but everything lacked details - sauce, arrangement... My wifes salad with grilled chicken barely had a dressing and the chicken so over cooked it was barely edible, My fish was ok, but lacked any companionship on the plate that it was sad. Desserts were run of the mill or less. A brownie pie barely had any chocolate in any form and the coconut ice cream without flavor. The bill arrived and we all dutifully paid the bill - about $75/couple. The Union Square Cafe in NY costs less!
It's highly overrated and appears a place to be seen spending money without any return in value.

We (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 5) had dinner. The service, setting and food was very good.
Best food in Salvador that we had.
