Description: Situated in the history of the Big House "charming" streets of Pelourinho, "La Figa" can be considered a little piece of Italy in Salvador. Salvatore Distefano, chose this name not only as a symbol of luck and prosperity, but also to honor the beauty of Brazilian women. In his town, Padova, "figa bella" means beautiful woman, so the two senses are complementary since most luck in the life of a man is to find a wonderful woman. The restaurant has a capacity of 80 seats. Fresh Pasta and seafood are our specialties. The Laboratory provides handmade every day fettuccine, pappardelle, tagliolini, ravioli, gnocchi, bread, focaccia, grissini; mussels, clams and oysters always arrive fresh from Santa Catarina. Abound tasty entrees and grilled meat, desserts are made exclusively by our team so that:. "We can not make a dessert menu because it is subject to the creativity of our team The kitchen is well visible, simple, Mediterranean style with it You can have a vision of our leaders and Osmar Silvino in the preparation of our dishes. La Figa is considered one of the best restaurants cost / benefit of the city. Our restaurant features a wine cellar with over 100 labels from different places of the world.

La Figa is for PASTAS...with sea food or beef or vegetables or whatever sauce you decide to have. The restaurant is small and very nice. The staff is excellent and the owner, Salvatore is a sweet hear! It is located in Pelourinho (the old town).
In Brazil, the tip is usually 10% and in majority of the times it is automatically added to the bill. Only to clarify the review I just read here, it is strictly forbidden by law to smoke even cigarettes, in any restaurant or bar in Brazil!

Tables on the street in the sea breeze. Walking here from the Villa Bahia hotel brings you past galleries with better stuff than many on the main street. Food was surprisingly good!

Very nice place, despite the name. The Pasta is really good, and the mood is right, with local people and tourists too.

A good italian restaurant in Salvador, Pelorinho.
The own, Salvatore, is very professional and the service is perfect.
The quality of italian food is good and it's not simple in Bahia to find a good italian restaurant.
I would recommend this restaurant for all italian tourists.
The place, Pelorinho is fantastic.
Thank you!

Read all the reviews here and wanted to check the place out myself with my girlfriend. The food was good and the service excellent (although they seemed to expect more tip than I gave), but I wouldn't say it was especially good. We had the carpaccio and a salad, both were OK, but we've had better. For example the restaurant across the street (Zulu) had a much tastier salad. And it was generally cheaper too. Didn't try the pastas (which the menu had a wide variety of), maybe that's what you should go for.
