I visited this restaurant 6 years ago and the food was excelent, a very casual atmosphere and good prices...now, the food is still very good, but the restaurant became kind of fancy and the prices are sky high...

After reading all the reviews, I thought this was THE place for a nice seafood dinner in Salvador. Unfortunately, I rate Mistura just average.
They had a antipasti appetizer buffet, which was poor. I got a greasy croquette that supposedly was made of crab (siri).
For the main dish I ordered the Badejo Flor de Sal with lobster medalions. Both the fish and the lobster medalions were overcooked. The tomato confit sounded great on the menu, but did not taste fresh.
The caipiroska (with imported vodka) comes in a tall glass with too much ice and NOT a lot of vodka. You can imagine the result: after 5 minutes the ice melts and all you have is a tall glass a watery lime juice.
Service was very good.

Altough I was a little disappointed with Salvador, I have to say I was surprised with this restaurant. I tried Lobster with herbs and butter, risotto with lemon, shrimps with prosecco wine, "moqueca", "badejo" fish and octopus salad (went there 6 times in 6 days!!!)

Great restaurant, good service and wonderful food. Location is not the best, but it is safe. The buffet was excellent with lobster, smoked salmon, crap, octopus, shrimp, etc and all very fresh. The local dish is Moqueca which I had the first evening and was generally disappointed; however the Crème de Papaya with Cassis for desert was very good.
