I vacilated between two and three stars for this one, but as I have a strong bias against totally isolated all inclusive resorts, I went for a generous three. I was at the Sauipe Park on business and didn't enjoy it at all. I was put first in the budget hotel on the Sauipe complex, and after 22 hours of travel and fighting a nasty cold, was dying to get to my room. But the porter simplty could not find it and took me to several different buildings before finally getting to the right door. The room was large and spare and I was pretty upset to see a small cot set up in the corner and not much else. Turns out the bedroom was behind it, and there was an ok bed, but the overall impression was pretty grim. The food associated with the restuarant was unappeitizing -- the choices were tough, grisly meat in a greasy sauce or dry overcooked fish. Day two I was moved to the more upscale Park (and initially to the wrong wing of the hotel so the poor service was a theme). The hotel was nicer, but not somewhere I would ever choose to go. For one thing, the entire complex is located in a fairly remote part of Brazil (e.g, a few hours flight from the cities in the south) and there is no culture or sense of place -- it was so ubiquitious. Also, it was very hot and since it was only March, I imagine it is quite unpleasant in the summer. The layout was also annoying-- we trekked over to the convention center each day and there was no walkway, which seemed to reflect very poor planning. After four nights of this "resort", I was thrilled to leave and get back to my cold, wet city.

This is a terrible hotel! Dirty, run down, everything broke, food gross, bugs, and the kaput goes on and on. I was with a large group in multiple rooms and we all had the same experience, absolutely disgusting!

Room Tip: All food options at the class is terrible!!!

Too popular- too many people, long lines at the breakfast, even to get na omelet; several rooms need to be fixed (the water is cold, or the toilet does not work, etc). But the thing that anoyed us most was the extorsive prices charged to take us anywhere out of the hotel complex. If yu want to go to the next village, about 20 km far from the hotel, a cab will cost you around 130,0 US dollars or a car rental will cost absurds 120,0-160,o US dollars (twice or 3 times the regular rate charged outside of the complex). When we stayed there, it was raining - there was no pharmacy delivery at the hotel. We had to get a bus and stop 1 km far from the pharmacy, get completely wet to get the medicines we needed. The hotel did not offer even na umbrela- not even if we´d pay for it. Definitely not the best option visiting Brazil.

Room Tip: Avoid the first floor! Rooms there need refurbishing.

Costa do Sauipe is a gorgeous, storybook tropical oasis. We went here for our honeymoon and stayed at the all inclusive Sauipe Club. The staff was hospitable and the rooms were clean and well kept. The grounds were gorgeous with walking trails, beautiful foliage and a great pool (and pool bar). The beach was just a stone's throw away and felt like a movie. We would go back for sure!

A great hotel to go with the family (all inclusive). We were 9 people in total (wife, daughters, grand-sons and baby sitter) and we had a great time at this hotel. The complex of swiming pool are perfect and the buffet by the swiming pool is a great perk. You can easily swap pool side/beach at a wink.
One must check the Brazilian holidays calendar. Unfortunately we didn't do that had to cope with a huge crowd of guests. But even this problem didn't tarnish our stay at this hotel. A small Vila is located nearby and you can walk to it and find some nice shops, banks and restaurants (some are not so good).
The hotel has an excellent restaurant with regional and international dishes.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool complex have a very nice view, but remember that activities by the pool star around 8-9AM. Try to find a room close to the elevator to avoid long walks to reach your room.
