The hotel is cheap and clean enough, but the rooms are basic. The hotel is not in the best area, but it is a budget option. All that said, I would stay closer to the Amazonas Theater (The opera house) if I was you.

Just a cheap room for a nights sleep. Not in a great location unless you are getting dropped off and picked up before an amazon tour.

Breakfast was ok, bed was ok, hotel was safe and clean.

Budget option

Remember to ask for a discount if you stay multiple days! You can save at least a few bucks a night!
There's not much around here to do, though the per kilo restaurants around here are decent and the street food is nice.
The rooms are very basic, but the street side ones have a window.

Room Tip: The street side rooms have a window and small balcony!

This hotel, though cheap, is not worth the stay. It is in a shabby part of the city, and not recommended for after evening walking. Even the hotel manager said it was too dangerous to walk out late at night - which is fine since there is nothing nearby worth going to anyway. The rooms themselves are small, windowless with very loud A/Cs which don't work well. Add to that mosquitos in the rooms is a place just not worth it. Why it is listed in the Lonely Planet certainly escapes me. On the plus side, it does have in room WiFi. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple more $R and get a better place near the Theater Amazonas. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Room Tip: Hotels near the Theater Amazonas are more social and have more activity at night. A good place is G...

No complains, even if Internet was veeeeery slowly, even if the space is like the back of a great familiar house, the room was clean, the bathroom working and (important!) the air conditioning working! It´s a trevaller little hotel for local people working or young "mochileros".

Room Tip: the rooms with air conditioning, always

The hotel is in quite good location. Not too far from the center and very close to main city-bus terminal. It was easy and inexpensive to get to the hotel by city-bus from the main ‘intercity’ bus terminal and to the airport. The neighborhood was good with many restaurants, bars, travel agencies and shops. The “touristy center” (with Opera House) is within walking distance.
This is a budget hostel catering mostly to locals and backpackers. It has a bit cold, sterile and impersonal feel. It is fully tiled with light tiles and bare light color walls.
My single occupancy room was cell-like, very small and had a private bathroom with no A/C (not needed), single bed, night stand, chest drawer with mirror and a window opening into a hallway. It was clean and cleaned daily. The bathroom had electric water heater.
The staff was hospitable and courteous. Some spoke English. The breakfast was very good and certainly above average comparing to my experience from travels in Central and South America. It made up for the higher price for room. Comparing to other hotels and hostels in Brazil, this hotel was a good value for what you get.
The prices for each room category are posted clearly in the reception area. The hostel has rooms with A/C and windows to the outside as well. I found all areas in the hostel clean. There are lockers where, for a small fee, you can lock your luggage when you go for your trips.
I can recommend this budget hotel.

The hotel is not that great but if your on a budget it is okay. It is not far to walk to several interesting things like the market, the shops, restaurants and the opera house. On different point in the neighbourhood you can take buses to everywhere in manaus. Even to the airport. Till 10 pm it's also quite safe to walk in the area. Only one receptionist, Walney, can speak a bit English. For the other ones we used a "portuguese on the travel" book.

Room Tip: Room 201 was good and has a balcony
