Simple, clean, comfortable with a smiling and helpful staff and great breakfast included in the price. They can organize a fixed price taxi Rs$ 60 in march 2014 airport pick up.
Tranquil area. Staff can help with tours if requested.

This hotel/pousada was quite run down. I thought it was good value, but was a bit dissappointed with the room and pool area. Bedding didn't smell clean and the whole room just felt a bit old and not very cozy. Location was also a bit funny. No decent restaurants within walking distance.

However breakfast was delicious and the staff were all super-friendly and very helpful.

This small hotel is located a bit outside the old town but we actually walked from the hotel to the Opera House in about an hour, gathering some picturesque impressions on the way. After having spent a whole day in the shabby and often ruinous old town area this clean and very tastefully decorated hotel seems like a luminous refuge. The girls at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was quite small and furnished rather simply but perfectly adequate for spending a couple of nights. The area is quiet and we speapt very well. The breakfast was OK, providing a lot of fresh fruit (as usually in Brazil). For that price it really is a bargain. I would go there any time again.

I chose this for my one night in Manaus before going into the Amazon forest because of the responsiveness of its staff: they were very quick to answer emails. The room was a bit disappointing: very basic, a bit depressing, but clean. There was no hot water for shower. Two water is not potable yet they charge you for bottled water. The breakfast area is more charming. Th internet was fine. Compared with the Millenium, where I stayed after my return from the forest, I would say I got better value at Millenium.

A lovely large home turned into a pousada. Very stately and attractive inside, lots of places to sit and relax. Small pool. Desk staff attentive and friendly. Booking and confirmation by email all very good. Breakfast normal but quite good, make sure to ask for eggs or tapioquinha made to order. Just a short taxi ride from Centro, the Teatro, and several shopping malls including the new and rather spectacular Manauara. Rooms seem to vary considerably in size but my room had a comfortable bed (firm mattress) nice flat panel TV, quite effective AC. Internet was fast for northern Brazil.

Room Tip: Room #1 is huge with a queen bed and a single. Hallway with large clothes closet leads to a very la...

This is a very simple and cozy place to stay in Manaus. It is not too expensive, given the average rates in the city. The breakfast is very tasty and you can ask for tapiocas and freshly squeezed juice. All the staff is amazing! Very polite, helpful and sympathetic. Nearby you can find restaurants and a small market.

Chez Les Rois was a good choice from the moment I contacted the hotel by email. The staff there were friendly and helpful from before we arrived and continued to be friendly and helpful once we were there. It's a lovely, older building with a nice common area. Our room was spacious and clean, but there was nothing fancy about it, which was fine. The breakfast was excellent. We chose Chez Les Rois because it's closer to the airport than most other hotels we found online and we had an early flight the next day. If you want to stay right in the city center, this isn't a good location.
