I've been to Massarela a couple times when visiting Maceió-AL and this is so far the best restaurant of town in my opinion. Food is always awsome, deserts are equally great and waitresses are all very efficient and polite. Can't wait to go back!!!

Try the delicious Gnocchi a La Bruno, with a sauce made of Vodka. Pastas serve two. For entree go for calabresa bread.

Ate here a couple of times. Food is good, not always typical Italian, but this is Brazil! Decor of the restaurant lovely - it is full of character, it's a very enjoyable setting. When we arrived at about 8.30pm we had choice of tables, but it very quickly filled up, and within 30 mins there was a queue of people waiting for a table. In fact, as we were leaving 2 groups were literally fighting over ours, so if you are going later in the evening, suggest you book.

We were twice here. The food is consistently good trattoria-style fare, with good ingredients. The atmosphere is charming, nice although unseasoned service seems to be the norm even in holiday season with a full house and a waiting line outside in the veranda. The wine list is ok and the storage of the wine bottles seems to be amateurish at best, when we asked to see a specific bottle of wine the waitress brought to our table a very refrigerated and sweating bottle of italian wine that probably needed a couple of hours before it reached its adequate drinking temperature.
On our second visit we decided to order pizza. Very good mozzarela, excelent flavour and a thin crust made for a perfect choice to enjoy a wonderful evening among friends. Highly recommended (for its food)!

Primarily Italian dishes, and all of it's fresh. Great appetizer dishes, from thin crust pizza to melt-in-your-mouth carpaccio, main dishes include a variety of polenta dishes (very good portions, enough for two), chicken and beef dishes. I'd highly recommend the Mignonette Cafe de Paris with your choice of freshly made pasta. If you like your beef rare, you REALLY need to let them know this, as the chef tends to cook on the well-done side!
