“Tuzlas Man Made Funplace”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

Tuzla has added to the artesian spring fed lake built a few years ago. It is now large enough place to accomodate a stagering 30 housand people (said a newspaper articel). there are plenty of chaise pounges & umbrellas. A small historic village, childrens play area and food vendors. when in Tuzla during the summer months, don't miss the family fun spot of Tuzla.

“Lovely outdoor spot during the summer months”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

The Tuzla Salt Lakes (Panonsko Jezero) are a wonderful place to go to for a spot of relaxation. Situated right in the centre of Tuzla, they are just a couple of minutes walk from the city's main square, Trg Slobode. There is car parking very close by. We visited in July and the place was very busy indeed - not surprising as the temperature was about +33 Celsius and the lakes are perfect for cooling down. The place is basically a set of three man-made lakes (first opened only back in 2003!) filled with salt water (apparently the only salt water lakes in Europe!). There is a pebbly beach surrounding the lakes where you can put down your towels or hire an umbrella. There are also changing cubicles, toilets, places to buy drinks etc. It's really charming - attractive as it looks out on the cityscape, but also because it's filled with happy people of all ages simply enjoying the water. It's ideal for children and adults alike as it's shallow close to the shore, and gets deep as you venture further out. It's also fairly inexpensive - it costs only 1.5 euro (adult) and 0.5 euro (child) for a day ticket - and there are also weekly and season tickets available which would work out even cheaper. When you're desperate for some beach action and find yourself in Bosnia, far from the coast, then this is the place to come!
