“Good for a quiet night”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

This hotel is suitable for those who don't want to be bothered by the noisy night life in the town. The grassy lawns with the view of the river gave it a pleasant laid back feel. The hotel was basic but clean and the meals were OK too. The air conditioning in our room did not work and this could be a big issue in hot weather.

A good hotel with friendly, smiling staff. Abundant and good breakfast. Clean and comfortable beds. Located on the edge of the city with a large garden and a small swimming pool. Nice view over the Beni-river. 5-10 minutes walk from the town center, but still nice and quiet (for Bolivia;-). No problems with anything. Recommended.

Room #5 Nov7-8, 2011

Despite the fact that the Koreans owners don’t look at you and don’t welcome you when you arrive at their hotel, the basic rooms are comfortable and clean and the local staff helpful and polite.
I have been staying here in 2004 and the hotel has not changed thanks to good maintenance.
The swimming pool was much appreciated with this hot tropical climate and so was the tranquility of this remote property compared with “downtown’s” ones.
The Beni river flowing peacefully in the background contributes to give an irresistible tropical charm to the area.
Duplex rooms are basic but comfortable with hot water shower, cable-TV, fridge, fans and able to accommodate up to 4 people in 4 beds.
For those wishing to go “downtown” after dark there might be some safety issues since the short road to Rurrenabaque is neither evenly paved nor lighted and with many errant dogs at night.
Price was EUR27 or US$35 per room per night including a simple but decent breakfast.
My overall impression is good and I recommend the place for its consistency.

We stayed here one night after our flight from Rurrenabaque to La Paz was canceled. The rooms were large and the grounds were well kept with a pool, but we had a bad experience with transportation arrangements we made with the hotel. The hotel has a van they use for taking guests to town since they are on the edge of Rurrnenabaque. We needed to be at the airline office at 6am to get a bus to our flight, but they didn't usually start the van service until later in the morning. They told us they would have the driver come early to take us at 5:45 if we paid extra. This seemed reasonable enough, so we agreed: they insisted we pay the night before. Of course, come 5:45 the next morning we and another couple who had also paid to be taken to the office were left standing outside the locked office with no driver in sight. Luckily, a grounds worker happened to be around - he couldn't drive the van, but ferried the four of us with our baggage one by one on his moped while the rest of us started to drag our stuff by foot towards the office. We barely made the flight, but never saw any sign of the van (or the money we paid them to take us).
