“Fish fry”
Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

We loved coming here for a fish fry and always looked forward to a delicious fish fry and awesome potato pancakes. We were extremely disappointed this visit because they change there potato pancake recipe. They were SO greasy they were unedable! They looked like something frozen tossed is a fryer. Very disappointing! The fish was still good but service was terrible! The waitress never came around except to take our order and give us our bill. Don't eat upstairs the downstairs is much nicer.

“GREAT food too !!!!!!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We have been using the hall upstairs for some company meetings and the food & service have been outstanding. Soooooooo when our good friends wanted to take us out for a fish fry....I figured we would try this place. GREAT Choice... we got there about 6:30 on Friday , the place was jumpin but we were seated right away . Our server showed up quickly with a big smile on , ready to take our drink order. Our drinks were there in a flash and we all ordered the cod... some had the 2pc , some the 4pc .. plenty of great tasting , flakey white fish with just the right batter. The tarter sauce & cole slaw were outstanding.... they must be using some Really good mayo. The frys were hot & done well , we ordered potatoe pancakes and loved them , the apple sauce was also to die for. Most restaurants don't seem to realize that it's the little things that Really make the meal GREAT ... Mike Gets It !!!!! The deserts sounded tempting but we couldn't even finish our fish fry. Come for the fish fry or any of their other fantastic food or rent their hall for your meeting or party. This place is the Best stop in the area. We will be back to try some of the other treats.... next time we're leavin room for their home made deserts. See Ya There.

“Great food - a must stop!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We stopped here on our way to beaver Dam WI. It is right on the main road and it looked interesting from the outside. Looks like it might have been an old stage stop - very cool looking old building. We got seated right away and had a great meal. It was a Friday night, so a few of us tried their famous fish fry. It was excellent. Huge pieces of fish and good tartar sauce! Caesar salad was delicious too. A few of us had burgers which were delicious. Soft buns and seasoned and cooked just right. We also enjoyed the duck strips and beer cheese for appetizers - both were great! Although we were stuffed - our friendly waitress talked us into desserts! We tried the strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter bars (both homemade) . Both were huge and delicious. Also - cocktails were great and lots of beer choices. We will be back!
