I stayed at the old main building.
Though the room looked a bit old, it offered enough space for a single person.
Clean and tidy.
There were hot bath (not natural onsen, though) and sauna. They were good to enjoy at night, esp after a day's walk.
Within 10min walk from either the station or wet market.
It was worthy of recommendation and i wont hesitate to visit again.

The hotel is walking distance to JR station, the rooms are on the small side but clean and comfortable and provide all basic amenities needed. Very central location so everything is available in walking distance. Public Onsen available at the hotel. For the price really delivers good value for money.

Good location, only 5 mins from the train station. The hotel rate is quite reasonable. But of course you get what you pay for. This is a very Japanese style business hotel so don't expect bellboy, concierge, or room services.
If your room rate does not include breakfast, it is only 500 yen, and you will get mostly Japanese style breakfast, but salad, bread, scrambled eggs, and even ice cream are available.
Wifi is free, but signal is very weak in the room, but there is a lan cable available, and if you like me travel with a portable wifi router, then problem solved, and the internet speed is very fast.

Price is reasonable. Free breakfast and public onsen. Room size is small as general Japanese hotel. We stayed there on 16 Nov. It was little hot inside the room since there was only warm air conditioner. The weather is not really cool in November this year (maybe abnormal global weather). We felt hot and opened the window. But mosquitoes appeared and we had to close the window. Finally the staff provided us 2 fans. In fact, it is ok to open window instead of cool air conditioner. However the hotel should equip a window net to expelle insects from outside.

thought had booked into another clone of the 'boring Japanese biz hotel family'; Pleasantly surprised;

It IS very VERY Japanese...little geared to foreigners..eg NO non Nihon TV channels, so if you want that then need to go to a western brand or fancy JP brand; but excellent service, super nice and friendly front team (with good English mainly) and room a bit bigger than many such JP hotels; Perfect location

Room Tip: side rooms may be quieter and avoid to close to the elevators
