We went first on the zoo, which was correct. Then, we went to the park, which was a spectacular experience! We were lucky because there were so many opening sakura.

This park is very spacious, with walking trails to enjoy the varieties of flowers. I was here in early April, the tulips were gorgeous - red, pink, yellow, white, orange etc. The park was well maintained. There was a section with beautiful flower sculptures. Next to it was a large greenhouse, with many beautiful flowers. Inside the greenhouse, there were theme gardens such as Bali, Mexico, etc. We spent 1.5 to 2 hours leisurely exploring this place, with many photo shoots. Highly recommended to visit this park.

Getting there - At Hamamatsu bus terminal next to train station, go to bus stop 1 and take bus number 30. Journey is about 45 minutes, 560 yen. Alight at the Flower Park entrance.

The best place to visit in Hamamtsu. It's a wide area filled with unbelievably maintained landscaping. The flowers are robust and there is a giant water show for all. In the humongous green house you will find the beauty of flowers in the old Italian style. There is a section for Bali too where suddenly the place transforms to Bali with coconut and banana tree. Many pose here. The collection of cactus is the best in the world. I was amazed to find a 5thousand year old cactus here. If you plan to visit here. Make sure to carry your camera and extra battery. It's unlimited beauty.

Late November was our visit and its not the time for flower bloom. Nonetheless, there was a little greenhouse in the middle of the park which was nice. We took the train around the park and enjoyed to cool autumn air. I can only imagine how pretty this place would be during the sakura and summer flower bloom.

+ can easily spend 2-3 hours leisurely + free entrance + there's a small kids park where you pay for each play eg around jpy200 each + kids love the train ride jpy100 per adult, jpy50 per child - car parking not free around jpy100 one hour approximately
