The hotel is built adjacent to both the JR station and the conference center (ACT). Considering it is off the regular tourist routes, I was surprised to meet so many English speaking staff at the hotel. The front desk staff were completely adequate, while other departments were a bit weak, but everyone tried their best. The room I had (3214) was large, with king bed, sitting area with sofa and chair, and a lovely bath with separate tub and shower. The views are amazing. I wish there were more English channels. Having satellite TV would have been great. The bed was hard. The restaurant Paganini was very good, serving a 6 course meal for 7,000 yen, which was a good value. Figaro is the location of the breakfast buffet and it's adequate. Very crowded on my stay, and the buffet is rather basic. You have to get your own silverware and they provide plastic trays to put all your buffet dishes on (a little tacky). The restaurant and all the public spaces, are in dire need of an update in decor. Very 1990's, and the music theme is really quite kitsch. I enjoyed my stay overall.More
