The house is very pretty, but the furnishings have almost no character. I kept getting the feeling that they just bought it and hadn't really decorated yet. But my biggest complaint is that it was horribly noisy - and we were there on a weekend when there were only 3-4 rooms occupied. The walls are not insulated so you could hear everything! Not only that, but they (the innkeeper) did laundry on the third floor (we were on the second floor)at 10:00 at night both nights we were there. The final complaint is that while I was taking a shower one morning, another guest must have started taking a shower as well and the water immediately went ice cold. Really unacceptable for a place charging $100+ a night. If I was paying 50 or 60 dollars I might expect some of those discomforts, but for $100+, not acceptable.

The innkeeper was not friendly (not rude, just not very engaged). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and it is a pretty house and grounds. We did like that they had a nice backyard with covered patio where we could sit and have a glass of wine in the evening. I wouldn't stay there again unless they make some major changes.

The inn is very quaint and nicely decorated in a traditional, homey style. Our room was very large and furnished so that we could have visitors. Since we were in town to see family, it was great that they could visit and be seated comfortably. Gig and her husband are so nice! They have a big family room area that we didn't use, but it was nice to know we could have relaxed downstairs and watched TV or used the kitchen.

I stayed at the Nantucket Inn on my way up to Canada. It was off-season, so the room was offered at a reduced rate. The room we had was large and had a balcony. The only let down was the door lock stuck and we couldn't access the balcony. The owner is really freindly and there is a free shuttle to the Northern Lights casino. I would stay here again.

My family stayed at the Nantucket Inn when we visited Anacortes recently. It was a wonderfull experiance. The room was incrediable with fantastic views of Anacortes. The continental breakfast was very good. There was plenty of space for my family and friends to meet when we were there. I would highly recommend the Nantucket Inn!!!!

New owners have redone the Nantucket Inn in a way that reflects their own joie de vivre. It feels like home, with a cozy living room to snuggle up and read a book in persian rugs covering the oak floors. It's the only place on the Anacortes main street that had a backyard with a trellis gate a gazebo for our dog to run free in. Our room had a mural of a pastel wisteria vine, whiter than white sheets, and a cozy yellow and pastel purple real bedspread (not from a hotel catalogue), and the pillows were brand new Tommy Hilfigers--the same ones we have in our own home. The bath was clean, deep and refreshing, and we went right to sleep in the quietness. Waffles, muffins, jam, oatmeal, juice, yogurt, fruit and tea, coffee, or hot cocoa greeted us in the large kitchen in the morning. (I can't remember everything.) Gig and her hubby are sooo sweet, and their dog is kind too.

We found ourselves having to stay over unexpectedly in Anacortes. For the extra few dollars you would be crazed to stay in "just a motel" vs here! Fabulous rooms, view, host, bed etc etc Clive and Denise, Sooke BC

What a charming home! We were very comfortable in our spacious room, with a King bed and nice linens. Our bathroom was clean and we had plenty of hot water to enjoy a soaking bath in a nice, deep bathtub. Our hostess, Gig was very accomodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. The breakfast was plentiful. We loved everything about this 1920's era home. This will be our first choice for future lodging in the Anacortes area.
