Description: Adrift is a friendly, casual, locavore eatery with a creative and diverse menu. We serve breakfast all day, lunch, and dinner, and we source much of our meats, seafood, and produce from local farmers. We have an extensive seafood menu featuring local clams, mussels, scallops, oysters, crab, smoked trout, salmon, halibut, and catfish. Our Skagit Burgers are locally famous, they are made with local grass fed beef, housemade potato bun, balsamic caramelized red onions, and toasted garlic aioli. Drift in and join us for a great meal. “Book It!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

We visited Adrift today for lunch today after being recommended by a bookseller at Anacortes' local independent bookseller, an always good place in any town for smart, discerning recommendations on the best place to eat in that town. There are only our - and maybe one or two more - things I know about this place. First, my wife loved her fish tacos. Second, I loved my Skagit Burger. Third, the young woman who serves as maitre'd does a great job moving a waiting line and parking diners. Fourth, during a smoke break of a few minutes before our lunch was, despite a packed house, quickly served told me one of the staff told me that all the food was made from scratch, including the hamburger buns he'd just put in the oven. "Home grown and homemdade in Skagit or the San Juans," he said. The place reminded me of the time I found a $100 bill on the sidewalk. You just plain get lucky some time and today, at Adrift, we did. Try it. Pretty sure you're going to like it.

“Good but pricey.”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

My kid got soba noodles with tofu for $20. Over sauced and over priced. My dad got a great hamburger cooked just like he likes it. Also expensive but he really liked it and he is picky so it was worth it. I feel the prices have gone up here and quality down a bit.

“Good restaurant in Anacortes”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised by this good restaurant in this beautiful but "beachy" "boaty" town. On Trip Advisor the best restaurants in Anacortes were a burger place, a deli and a BBQ place. We wanted something more and went to one of the restaurants down the list. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was full and busy, but they seated us without a reservation, and the wait staff was very friendly and worked hard. Each table was backed by a bookshelf of used books that one could read while waiting or buy for $5.00 - a unique fun experience.

We enjoyed crab au gratin, curried halibut and baked salmon. The taste of all was delicious. The drawback was that the presentation was not good. The food was plopped and glopped on the plate. With a more artistic presentation, along with the good taste, we would have given Adrift 5 stars.

“Outstanding”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We had been there a couple of years ago and like it, and it's still great. We arrived without a reservation on a busy night, but we got in relatively quickly. There was a very large table that backed up the kitchen, so the food was slow in coming. But the waitress was very attentive, bringing us bread and explaining the situation. The food was outstanding.
