We were looking for a casual Italian restaurant that would offer pizza and wine, and a local recommended Ciao Bella. My husband and I shared a wonderful house salad and gnocchi. Our boys had the pizza. The gnocchi and homemade tomato sauce were superb with fabulous seasoning and chunks of tomato. The pizza was excellent. The staff was very attentive and the prices were reasonable. I think the pasta dish was $14.99 and the serving size was large: I shared with my husband with some to spare. Highly recommended. I would rate this restaurant as a don't miss. Our particular waiter was new to the restaurant but a local who was formerly a chef. After we commented on the quality of the food, he said that he was very impressed with how old school and precise the chefs here are about their recipes.

Ciao Bella needs work. Not so friendly...food needs attention. Tough steak- stick with the pasta, which is O.K. The prices are high for the value. Wait staff attentive, but there is little warmth from management. Skip this restaurant...there are many choices in Anacortes.

Intrigued by the good reviews I tdecide to try Ciao Bella... and ended up going the next day as well!
None of the menu items are unique, you find lasagna, veal marsala, piccata, traditional antipasti and pasta, but everything is prepared with subtle flavors, the garlic is not overpowering, the light tomato sauce complements the pasta to highlight the cheese, just delightful every morsel.

Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Have gone to this owners restaurants when he was in the Seattle area (he had several). He has always done a great job of service and food. Really happy that they came to Anacortes. All of our friends like it also. Seattle's loss!
