Description: When the opportunity arose for a new restaurant at Broadlands, just west of Dulles Airport in Loudoun County, Virginia, it became an ideal chance to create a truly unique destination for dining. This sprawling, rustic tavern features four bars and numerous dining rooms, making the question of where to sit much more difficult than you may have expected. In the 1980s the Clyde's Restaurant Group purchased several antique heavy timber buildings destined for demolition and more than 30 years later these barns, stables, homes, and taverns were reassembled to create the complex of dining rooms for Clyde's Willow Creek Farm. The restaurant which is located on a working farm, is inviting and comfortable, stunningly decorated with original artwork, sculpture, historic artifacts and an over-the-top collection of museum quality 18th century horse-drawn carriages - most strung from the ceilings lined with solid timber struts.

For a large beautiful Barn/Farmhouse (with multiple rooms) the service and food were quite amazing. We had appetizers, regular menu options and the traditional options for Thanksgiving and the food was delicious (and big portions). We all enjoyed our first out to dinner Holiday meal.

I've been to the Clyde's at Mark Center and their location in Ashburn keeps to the same standard. The location in a beautiful old farmhouse is charming and the fireplaces make for a romantic and cozy atmosphere. This location has a lot of seating but because it is broken up between rooms it has a more intimate feel. Fresh baked breads and house made butters along with fresh local fare--it was difficult to choose what to order. I chose the pumpkin ravioli with a sherry sauce. Fantastic. The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was also very good.

We love Clyde's Willow Creek Farm, so it was a natural for a family Christmas season dinner. I made reservations a couple of weeks ahead of time for a party of ten. We were in the very back room in front of the fireplace -- a wonderful location for a somewhat rowdy group! Our Server, Jeremy was the best! He didn't hesitate when we requested separate checks, asked him to take LOTS of pictures in front of the fireplace place with multiple cameras, and handled any other crazy request with humor and professionalism. Jeremy is, by far, one of the very best servers I have ever encountered. Very personable, great sense of humor, paid attention to details, made sure orders were correct, suggested items, and didn't rush anyone. Jeremy was intuitive to our needs and we never had to wait for extra drinks, extra bread and butter, steak sauce or any other little detail that makes a dining experience complete.

The food was excellent -- cream of crab soup, chili, filet mignon, trout, just about everything on the menu was tried. Clyde's even ran out of the 5 oz. filet mignon so they provided the 8 oz. to all that ordered. Nice upgrade!

So, try Clyde's Willow Creek Farm, you will not be disappointed -- AND, request Jeremy --- you will have a wonderful dining experience!

The food is above average, tasty, nothing unexpected or bowl-me-over good, but nothing that you wouldn't eat again. The ambiance is impeccable: fireplaces, windsor chairs, leather, carriage houses--just as the website shows: you won't be disappointed. That said, this is a BIG restaurant. Sprawling, tons of rooms, and the waitstaff acts like it. Expect good (speedy, polite) service--just be prepared to feel a little like a number.
