Description: When the opportunity arose for a new restaurant at Broadlands, just west of Dulles Airport in Loudoun County, Virginia, it became an ideal chance to create a truly unique destination for dining. This sprawling, rustic tavern features four bars and numerous dining rooms, making the question of where to sit much more difficult than you may have expected. In the 1980s the Clyde's Restaurant Group purchased several antique heavy timber buildings destined for demolition and more than 30 years later these barns, stables, homes, and taverns were reassembled to create the complex of dining rooms for Clyde's Willow Creek Farm. The restaurant which is located on a working farm, is inviting and comfortable, stunningly decorated with original artwork, sculpture, historic artifacts and an over-the-top collection of museum quality 18th century horse-drawn carriages - most strung from the ceilings lined with solid timber struts.

“Beautiful environment, very busy at times”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Very, very busy, staff tries their best. Good ingredients, decent flavors, extraordinary décor. Spend a few minutes walking through the place and check out the various dining areas. One area seems to have live entertainment.
Food was fresh (not frozen) and local. A real plus. Servings are not huge – just right. Prices reasonable but not cheap.

“Great Ambience + Wonderful Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

Charming colonial ambience with numerous and varying size rooms for whatever size your dining party might be; we ate in the Washington room which overlooked their outdoor eating area and fountain; since there were six of us and two were infant and preK age we appreciated being a bit tucked away. Service was good and the menu varied in choices and pricing. The trout parmesan and grilled Kansas City strip steak were wonderful. Great dining experience and look forward to returning the next time we are in the area.

“Delicious Food - Average Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

A party of 9 went to celebrate the birthday of my 85 year old mother in law. Reservations were made over 2 weeks in advance, but they could not accommodate our request for a semi-private room. Instead, they sat us in the bar room which is furthest from the front door and has a very casual atmosphere. Not what I envisioned to celebrate a milestone birthday. Additionally, they squeezed 9 of us into a 8 top table which was situated such that the sun was glaring through the windows and into our eyes. It was very uncomfortable and I wasn't able to look to my left until the sun had fully set. We asked to be re-seated but were told there was nothing else available. Very poor planning on management's part and the hostess was only half-heartedly helpful. Dinner service, too, was only average and not very organized.

The food was excellent. I had the trout parmesan. Delicious, not greasy and set on top of zucchini and roasted potatoes. I started with the wedge salad which was huge and just what you expect. Others reported that the crab cakes were very good and the lamb steak was the best they'd ever had.

4 stars ONLY because the food was excellent and pricing was more than fair. I hope management will train their hostesses to better seat large parties and address the issue of the sun streaming through the windows. A window shade might be a good idea!

“Incredible”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

This was our first experience dining here. We made 6PM reservations and I'm glad we did. We were seated immediately and a server showed up immediately to take our drink orders. We started with the calamari w/slaw in a lightly spiced jalapeno jelly. Probably one of the best we've had. My wife ordered the trout parmesan and I had the KC strip streak. Both meals were unbelievably good. We finished with a cappucino and a regular coffee. The service was efficient and first class. The prices are very, very, good for the quality and quantity of the food served. The restaurant manager walked the floor insuring everyone was satisfied and there were no problems. A nice touch. We highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely return.
