“Good food and service”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

Several coworkers and I went to The V for drinks and dinner. Although the initial service was slow our server was very attentive. The food was excellent; the Jambalaya Pasta was excellent, a coworker had the Salmon and said it was good but he is from Alaska so any non Alaskan Salmon would not be rated above good, another member of our party had the steak salad while the last coworker had the Chicken Carbonara both rated their meals as excellent. I plan on returning soon.

“Very Slow”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

We went there for Sunday Brunch today and it took forever to get the food to our table. I think we waited an hour from the time we ordered until the food was delivered. I wasn't sure if the server was bad and our food was just sitting in the kitche or if the kitchen was understaffed. The people next to us left before their meal was served and everywhere around us people were unhappy. When we complained to the manager, he said the server should have told us there would be a wait....really?

“Mixed results”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Not to make it sound bad but this place seemed to be bi-polar when we were there. The service was almost unbearable. We were a table of three and the waiter took 2 of our orders and then walked away without taking the third. Our drinks would be empty for awhile before he noticed and checking up on us wasn't happening unless we waived him down.
That being said, the food and drinks were terrific. The butternut risotto is unlike anything I have tasted with such a unique flavor. The grilled salmon was excellent as well. The beer and wine selection was perfect with just the right array of types that you feel like its a large selection without being overwhelmed.
The decor was very nice and it added to our experience.
This would be a great review if it wasn't for the terrible service. It could have been a one-off but for now it is what it is.

We went to the V for dinner for 3 for the $5 burger and paid $32. We got 2 waters, one
lemonade $2.25, one swiss cheeseburger xtra .50, sub sweet potato fries xtra $1.50, one
blue cheese burger xtra $1.00 w/waffle fries xtra $2.00, last cheeseburger w/american cheese
xtra .50, and a dessert for $7.00. Awsome burgers! But please mention that cheese is xtra,
and waffle fries/sweet potato fries are xtra, come on potatos are potatos, why charge xtra???

“Vintage 52? Good first visit”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Went over July 4th weekend around 1pm - hardly anyone there. We had been driving around that day and wanted something not out of way and somewhere we hadn't been lately. Went into the V - then realized it was owned by Vintage 51 group. Nice outdoor seating but very hot so sat inside at bar. A bit dark but that appears to be the overall décor - not our style but the bar was at least near the windows and very comfortable. Husband liked the beer menu - lots of good local ones. He had the hot wings with Korean BBQ. I was not a fan but he liked them. They seemed to chewey for my style but they were all drumsticks and were a big serving. I had the hummus, again a big serving so we took half of it home. Came with celery, carrots and bread. I personally like my hummus with a bite but it tasted good and it came with a bit of oil, not overrun with oil. The staff were very pleasant, and the first bartender explained to us he was in training (he did a fine job). Overall a pleasant visit and we would go again for lunch. Husband looking forward to the microbrewery which they are putting in. Not much out that way so this is a good find.
