“A true dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

Every meal here is memorable. The food is of the highest quality, creative (and constantly changing), and beautifully presented; the service is attentive and thoughtful but not overbearing. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date (highly recommend for Valentine's Day) and also for a group brunch. I order different dishes each time and have never been disappointed. The wine list is long and varied. Love Tallula!

“Nice meal; good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

I came here for a group dinner in a small but very nice room off the beaten path in the restaurant. The menu was limited, but everyone seemed happy with the food. My salad was nicely presented and fresh. Steak came as ordered with pleasant accompaniments. An apple beignet was good and not greasy. Nor were complimentary donuts served at the end. The staff did not push us at all, but once dinner started, service was efficient and correct. Overall, it was a nice meal, and I'd be happy eating here again. Nothing especially edgy on the menu, which is either good or not depending on your perspective. I prefer edgy, but there's nothing wrong with the solid American menu this place offers when it comes with good execution. Street parking was readily available on a weekday night at 6:30. You can take you aunt here... or your boss. And you can have a nice dinner for 20 people or so in a private room.

“Delish! One of my favorite places to eat!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Southern flair with a wonderful wine selection to accompany each and every entree.
Apps are just wonderful and seasonal along with the main courses.
I recommend the oysters if they have them on the app menu.
Fresh local cheese offering...sheep milk cheese, fresh cow's cheese, any many others.
If I were to change anything it would be the desserts...not many sound appetizing but I will tell you that the apple bienget was AMAZING! Substitute the cheddar ice cream for the ginger.

“Hidden gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

It can be hard to find a restaurant that has something for everyone -- when everyone expects an excellent meal. Tallula's reliably turns out exceptional and unique appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and with a constantly changing menu, you rarely have the same things on different visits.

“Another outstanding meal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

Dinner again with family. Was able to be accommodated by the staff at the last minute. Sat near front of the restaurant which is just great space, interesting decor and rehab. Not terribly load even for a Friday night. Selected the pork dish which was prepared perfectly including the sauces and vegetables. Even in the fall there is an effort to use local fresh ingredients. The server was attentive, pleasant, and knowledgable. This restaurant should be higher rated.
