“22$ parking. No free breakfast.”
Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

Got a great deal from a 3rd party seller... Best value. But, id prefer a buffet breakfast or at least some free coffee. Nothing is free. Parking Is 22$ I Parked in a lot across the street where the shuttle busses Parked. Had no problem. No sign saying "do not park" I think it's simply overflow for the hotel. Or for busses and oversized vehicles. But the gate was broken... So I let myself in.
If you can park there, it saves you the 22$ that you'll spend on breakfast instead.

Overall, rooms are nice... Pool is on the top floor (indoors) which is pretty cool.

Gym has an new school massage workout machine. Like in the "leather belt around your waist to loose weight" deals of the 70's. take it for a ride. It's pretty fun.

Thank you for your feedback and glad you had a good experience while here. Our new gym and pool are among many of our great amenities here at the hotel. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time in using both. Hopefully you will join us again in the future.

I would caution guests to avoid parking in the satellite parking as the vehicles can be towed if not properly tagged with documents from the hotel. The parking is for oversized vehicles, busses, etc. We would not want your or any guest vehicle towed, so please use the garage parking while staying here to ensure the vehicle will not be towed.

Thanks again staying with us.

The staff was very friendly at check-in. We were personally attended to by an employee named, Lahnar. Even though we booked our room through Hotwire, he was polite in offering us extras! Upon arriving in our room we found everything to be extremely clean and up-to-date.. We recommend to anyone lucky enough to get on Hotwire or to book directly.

Recently stayed for two nights in December. The room had a beautiful view of Washington. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and not cramped and it was easy to relax and feel at home. Although we did not eat in the restaurant on this trip, we did enjoy room service and the food was excellent. We have stayed in the hotel on previous occasions and always find the staff very accommodating, polite and friendly to talk to. We have eaten in the restaurant in the past and always enjoyed a good meal. The breakfast buffet is one of my favorites. Although the location of the hotel is away from shops and other restaurants, the shuttle is easily available to go to the Pentagon City Mall, Airport or Metro. It is also very easy to get a taxi to go into the District. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well-priced, full-service hotel in the DC area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a DC view.

I stayed here in early December and had a fantastic 2 night stay, we were placed on the Starwood Preferred Guest floor and I don't know if all rooms were the same but ours was massive, the bed was super comfy too. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the servers were really friendly and informative, getting lots of tourist information for us. The food was good too lots of choice, I would definitely stay here again.

We were stuck in Arlington, VA on Christmas eve due to an American Airlines screw up (story for another less generous review). We got to the Sheraton bedraggled, exhausted, frustrated, hungry, irate, tired...you name it, if it wasn't good, we were it. Well Sevena was having none of that. She almost transformed the horror of AA's abominable behavior into a positive experience,,,almost, heck a truly positive experience. She was cheerful & kind & patiently listened to our tale of woe. She sent us essentials to the room -- toothpaste & toothbrushes & combs & razors. Then she sent even more goodies to our rooms to turn our excruciating Christmas eve into a pleasant one. We can't thank her enough. Everyone else on duty that night was pleasant & cheerful...but Sevena truly saved the day!! Nothing was too big or too small for her to do & all done with a smile...a Christmas miracle.

Thank you so much for your great feedback. We have shared this with our team and Sevena. She is truly a rock star and we appreciate your kind words about her and the opportunity for us to host you while in the Greater Washington DC area even if not due to an issue caused by you.

We look forward to hosting you again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback as we truly honor each associate whom receives comments such as these.

This hotel hosted a 3-day business conference I attended, which coincided with Superstorm Sandy. The hotel staff went above and beyond in every way. Every meal was delicious and the service was consistent and excellent. The staff did a good job keeping guests informed and safe. I was particulary impressed when I returned from dinner one night and found they had left me a flashlight, bottled water, and safety instructions. The power did go out that night, and yes, I was glad I had a flashlight. When I called downstairs, I learned they had a generator powering the door locks, one elevator, and the lights in public areas throughout the hotel. The power came on around 6 the following morning. I went downstairs for breakfast about an hour later. The food was hot and well prepared. I don't know how they pulled that off, but they did. The Navy Admiral who ran our business conference said it best. Anyone can say they have a great crew. But the mark of a truly great crew is how they perform when you're out in a storm.

The price was great and location good for my purpose (next to Henderson Hall Marine Base), but I would never return for any other DC purpose. Property is on a sketchy street too far from any commercial strips to walk to dinner - so, you're stuck with their restaurant. Which, they simply opted to close at 6pm "because it was slow." But I could "order food at the bar"... IF there was anyone working there - which, for 13 minutes, there wasn't. I'm not normally a watch watcher, but I had nothing else to do (except get hungrier and angrier). So, here I sit at 35 minutes with a $9 cheap Cabernet and still no sign of food. So, that's what you get for under a hundred in DC.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback of your less than pleasant experience with us. It is unfortunate in your experience while in our restaurant and we were not present when you needed us. We have closed our restaurant, while keeping our lounge up for all of our guests to use. In addition, we know we are in an unique location, which is why we make sure we offer great service with our shuttle services to the Pentagon City Mall and Metro, which has a host of great restaurants, cafes and stores for your shopping needs. And we have a state of art Fitness Facility located on our top floor of the hotel and a pool with great views of DC. Even though we may not have access in the immediate area for additional food options, we make every attempt to provide alternative solutions.

Our goal is to make each guest experience one which you will have a positive memory of. We apologize for your experience and we have taken your feedback and reviewed best measures to overcome any challenges similar to this. On behalf of the Sheraton Pentagon City Team, I hope you will reconsider coming to stay with us. We would love to host you again and make sure the next experience is a great one for you to always remember.

Thanks for taking your time to share this and we look forward to hosting you in the future.

Kind Regards,
A. Smith
