“Convenient and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2011

It's an easy cab or subway (2 stops) from DCA to the Ritz. The conference rooms are nice as is the lobby (small) and the rooms were comfortable, but not as large or as 'exceptional' as other Ritz Carlton's I've stayed. Staff was very friendly, and food was great. Great place for business meetings. The gym was well appointed, and easy to get to. The pool seemed nice (but small).

The room I had was on the 5th floor, and looked directly onto a flat roof - one of the worst views I've had from any hotel in D.C. Ask for a higher room, or one that faces out the front of the hotel.

We absolutely loved this Ritz. Location is unexpectedly convenient. The metro is right next to the hotel, there is a huge mall/ shopping center with Nordstrom Rack (!) literally attached to it. The I BR was very spacious and having 2 bathrooms was ideal. We were on the Club level and were very impressed with the level of service! Virginia was amazing, such a sweet lady- she would save us food for when we returned from museum trips!

From the time we pulled up to the door, we received personal service. Edward and Mark helped with our plans to walk to dinner on Saturday night and also to brunch on Sunday. Landolino was courteous on Sunday morning. He has worked 21 years for the Ritz Carlton. That is something to be proud of! Finally, the wonderful valet, who's name I can't remember who offered me cold bottled water when he observed that I may be hot. We had a wonderful experience and hope to stay here again.

Stayed three nights as part of AMEX fine hotel program and found R-C Pentagon City surpassed my expectations. Highlights are as follow:

Check in and front desk were flawless throughout stay, no waiting and always responsive. Farida was exceptionally helpful. Management was very responsive to all concerns.

Rooms nicely appointed and very clean. Bedding was perfect. Zero noise from outside. I had a nice view of Air Force Memorial at Pentagon as well as Capitol from across Potomac River.

Concierge level was a great experience. Large citym area with breakfast, lunch and light dinner service plus a dessert service with cordials.

Room service was prompt and plentiful. Actually found servings to be greater than hotel restaurant "Fyve".

Hotel is at Pentagon City Metro Stop (yellow/blue lines) five minute ride to Reagan national. Pentagon Mall at your doorstep. Taxis a plenty, seven minutes to downtown DC.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic in every aspect. We went their with family over President's Day weekend this year (2011). When we checked in, we decided that we wanted the concierge level. It is $100 extra per day, but the food is truly divine, there was an abundance of relatively high quality alcohols, and the service was absolutely unsurpassable. The hotel lobby is pretty simple, but everything is extremely charming. Sera, the woman that we worked with at the front desk, was unbelievably kind and helpful. At the concierge level, Virginia and Lovelace (the employees there) were checking in on us on a constant basis to make sure that we were completely satisfied. The employees were extremely pleasant, the food was DELICIOUS, and the hotel was charming and convenient. I can't wait until my next visit!

We traveled to Washington during President's Day weekend and stayed at the Ritz for 2 nights. We could not have asked for a better experience. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to speak each time they met you. The rooms where excellent and beinng attached to the Fashion Mall....the location could't have been better. You could enter the mall and metro without ever going outside. The food court made it easy to find some good food.

This hotel was a very good value. We got the package with the breakfast and valet parking included. Location was just south of the Pentagon and right next to the major highways. Only about 8 minutes from National Airport. A very upscale mall connects to the hotel. Another plus is the presence of a Metro stop right outside the front door. The most remarkable feature of our stay was the attentiveness of the staff. I have never had so many people express so much concern about whether I was having a good stay.
