Overall - good hotel at a great price. It's also very convenient to public transit, which is a big plus for me.
- Free Wifi
I normally stay in DC at the same spot near the METRO. This time all my regular places were either booked or way too expensive. Looked to Crystal City and many of the hotels were adjoining the Metro through a mall. But, quite expensive. Raddison is a very short walk, outside down the main street. You cannot see the building from the Metro exit, but walk a short distance to Jefferson Davis and you can see it easily and walk. Nice place, good restaurant, small but comfortable lobby and nice large rooms. Free internet, which is rare at mid to high level hotels. Plenty of nice restaurants in the area like Legal Seafood and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and many more. Price was right. Worth the short two block walk. Anyway they also have pickup to DCA. Yellow line, it is just a few stops into the center of DC. This is a great option for someone who has to do business all over DC. Probably easier to stay here than inside DC with the METRO.
My girl friend and I stayed at this hotel for a week . The personnel was very friendly and professional. The room was cleaned daily and bed sheets and new towels were provided daily. The bathroom was clean too. The breakfast was excellent. Our only problem was that the room needs some renovation especially the windows which was very difficult to open and the carpet which needs some renovation too. And the bed remote control did not work at all. Otherwise the TV functioned properly and the we had we had access to plenty of channels.
For the location, the comfort and the price we think it was a good deal. We would recommend this hotel to anybody who plans a short stay in DC.
staff was very friendly and willing to help make my stay great
easy walk to crystal city yellow line metro stop
The room was clean and outiftted with all of the usual soap, shampoo and lotion. I wouldn't necessarily say the bathroom was small, but tere wasn't much usuable counter space. There was a fridge, which was nice; albeit noisy. My room (334) was on the Jefferson Davis Highway side, and between the traffic noise and the fridge noise, there was a constant din. However, it did not keep me from sleeping well. The room had two queen beds. They were very comfortable, not sleep number beds, and I was grateful for that.
This location was fantastic for either work or tourism. There is plenty of nice restaurants and pubs to choose from about 2 minute walk on 23rd street. There also a CVS pharmacy for reasonably priced medicine, supplies, drinks snacks, etc.The Metro is about 5 minute walk in the opposite direction of the restaurants. All the monuments are 3-4 Metro stops away (and requires change between yellow line and either blue or orange lines.
Breakfast was included in my package and was quite a value too. It was a hot breakfast that included eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacon, corned beef hash, French toast, fresh fruit (and the melon was actually ripe), cereal, breads and pastries, juices coffee, etc.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle to/from Reagan National Airport (five minute ride). The shuttle is marked as Hampton Inn (vice Radisson). The two properties share the same building, so it makes sense that they would share a shuttle. I took a previous reviewer's suggestion and called the hotel when I arrived, and they sent the shuttle immediately.
This was our second stay her. We love the location! It is very near a Metro station and a variety of places to eat. The rooms are spacious and clean. Our bed was very comfy, too. We felt that this hotel was a great bang for our buck!!
