This place has been here forever. It had been there a while when I moved to Arlington in 1977. It has changed over time. When I first got here, it was marginal, though their pizzas were good and kept them going. I went in a couple years ago and the food was bad. They have remodeled so the place is airier and lighter. They must have replaced the chef also because the food is better. We have been in twice this year. I had the veal picatta once and it had a good, sharp lemon taste. Not sweet (thank goodness!). Tonight I had the spaghetti with Marinara sauce and meatballs. It was okay. The sauce had a raw edge to it that meant it had not simmered long enough. The sauce needed more seasoning (no sense of garlic, onions or oregano, for example). And the matballs were bland. The waitress was friendly and efficient, and the food was out quickly. The place can be noisy. There is not a soft thing on any wall or window and noise reverberates. That is easily remedied. Some curtains on the windows and some wall hangings would make the stay more pleasant.
