“Great Urban Park”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

I love this park. I think it's just the right size for an urban park. The Four Mile Run trail and the WO&D Trail run through the park, so it's a nice stop off for a picnic or rest if you're biking or walking.

The nice thing about this park is that it's always full of people doing all kinds of stuff. Whenever I've biked through, I always see people jogging, biking, playing ultimate Frisbee, kids playing baseball, adults playing soccer, teenagers and families picnicking and people doing yoga.

Overall, I think this is a great community park. It's not the kind of park you'd drive to from another part of the the County, but if you live in the Arlington or Falls Church area, it's worth a visit.

“long rail-to-trail park”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

this park in Arlington has the four mile run connector trail running right through it. It is a branch of the OO&D rail-trail. From Bluemont you can ride/walk 20 miles south to Mt.Vernon or 60 miles west to Leesburgh. It also connects to the C&O canal trail to Cumberland, Maryland 130 miles northwest. Bluemont is known for its formal rose garden which is well tended and stocked with a variety of amazing roses. There are also tennis courts, baseball fields and picnic pavilions. A creek runs through the park along the paved trail. Some people let their kids and dogs wade in it but given all the storm water run off I don't ever do that.

“Overlooked Gem in Arlington”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

Bluemont Park has a little bit of everything... wooded paths, bike lanes, picnic pavilions, playing fields, even a highly regarded disc golf course. The park is clean and very popular, but not well known outside the local neighborhood. Definitely a neighborhood gem of a park.

“Excellent Park”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Great for those who want to excercise, play sports, walk, grill or simply relax. The restroom facilities are clean. Lots of benches to sit down. There is a least one nice playground for the kids that I have seen.

“Well kept park”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Great park that is well kept. Too bad the county doesn't turn over their road maintenance to the Parks people! Neat and clean as a whistle. The ONLY problem is bicyclists who drive so fast past you it is scary. They should be banned. One even killed a citizen last year from the same thing. Police need to be out there.
