You'd be well advised to make reservations at this charming, seafood-centric resto with casual style and wonderful, fresh food. The wine list is very good, too. One of our favorite semi-special-occasion places, great for a leisurely dinner (good service! Just a relaxing evening). It can get a tad noisy but not off-putting.

We've been here five or six times, and always loved the food. They fly in deliciously prepared freshly caught seafood every day, so that part of the menu changes, but the other items on the menu also are very good, in particular the "Bistro Calimari" which makes a great appetizer for two.

The service can sometimes be quirky, if always well-meaning. The owner is attentive from a conversational and caring perspective, but doesn't always notice that you'd like to order or that you need another bottle of wine.

I've been to this restaurant many times. The owner, Franco, comes by and greets you. He takes great pride in the imported marble and decor. Ladies, check out the restroom....wow... stunning.
All the seafood is fresh within 24 hours, flown in from all ports. If you are in a hurry, don't go there. The service is laid back for you to soak in the atmosphere. They recently changed the name to Mele. Not sure why. I like the "Village Bistro" better as a name.

I love to eat alfresco and this place was the restaurant for that. Good food, a beautiful evening and my hubby eating outside (which he does not like).

My two companions and I were warmly greeted for a late dinner on a Sunday evening. A very enthusiastic server spent more than 10 minutes describing the freshness of the fish (which sounded wonderful, but did not live up to his lofty claims) and the impeccable quality of the pastas.

Cut to the chase: the bread was warm and generous and wonderful, as was the accompanying olive oil. The pastas were fine, but not exceptional and a highly-vaunted seafood special was just okay: not terrible, but definitely not notable. Salads were over-dressed with oil and sparse in some advertised ingredients.

Prices were reasonable, making this an adequate meal, but not one worth a second visit. Perhaps it was just because it was after 8:00pm on Sunday evening, when business was clearly slow.
