“Great service, food, and drinks”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We really enjoyed this place. The service was prompt and attentive, and our server Minor was funny and friendly. The House Margarita is very good and so is the Tricolor (guacamole, refried beans, and cheese). The complimentary baskets of home-made tortillas come with a couple of delicious salsas

“Average food, below average service”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Ceviche was average. The flavors were not differentiated, and the shrimp was tough and rubbery. My companions were not so keen on the food either. It was just OK. The tacos were very plain and dry as could be. Taco Bell's are tastier. Service was terrible. Not once did the server come back to ask if we needed anything. Not one refill. Not going back, and will not recommend. If anyone suggests it, I will make sure to steer them away.

“WITHOUT FAIL THE BEST Authentic MEXICAN in DC area”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Excellent use of ingredients creating a complex combination of tastes. Anyone who knows authentic Mexican cooking will truly appreciate the food. Carefully made mole. Shrimp and goat cheese enchiladas, duck enchiladas with mole!! Carnitas style pork tacos or enchiladas are amazing. Great selection of taquilas, not great selection of beers. GReat sangria, though. Agua fresca is a nice alternative to sodas, unique refreshing tastes.

“Wow! Great Mexican food and beer!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

Great food, great beer, what else is there when it comes to Mexican. Didn't try the Tequilla, but I'm sure that's great as well.
A wonderfull dinner that left us feeling fine(hot sauce heaven).

“Good neighborhood Mexican food”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

We've been coming to Guajillo's about once a month for 5 years. Same ownership and lots of the same staff which means consistency and they care about the quality of the food and the customer service. Inside & out it seats about 60-90. This is closer to authentic Mexican food. Tacos with chicken/beef/pork/lamb, fajitas, and enchiladas all come with corn tortillas. They have homemade tomato salsa and occasionally a spicy creamy salsa which are both awesome. The chips are light and crispy. The mojitos are excellent and the margaritas/sangria are delicious. The mole sauce is nice too. Guajillo's has more sophisticated flavors that you normally find at Mexican restaurants in the area. There is often a later dinner crowd here on the weekends (~8:30pm).
