Description: Located in the heart of Arlington, with parking and convenient access to the metro, Taste of Morocco offers diners an unparalleled opportunity to escape the norms of day to day dining and experience a true culinary adventure. The restaurant features a wide variety of traditional Moroccan fare a la carte but is well known for its Walima, a traditional Moroccan feast. The Walima experience starts with a mixture of perfectly seasoned salads and a hearty traditional soup called Harira. What follows is perhaps the most exotic and unique dish offered at Taste of Morocco, the Bastilla. A blend of chicken, almonds, warm flaky filo pastry, and a wonderful mix of spices combine to make this award-winning second course. A choice of Moroccan tagines follows – a refreshing lemon chicken with olives, lamb with raisin and almonds with a heaping dish of couscous and steamed vegetables. The feast is polished off with light pastries and one last Taste of Morocco delicacy, the honey minted tea!

It's easy to miss from the street, but Taste of Morocco is fun and the food's tasty. The chicken bastilla is AMAZING! Waitstaff were attentive and funny.

“Great restaurant”

An underlooked gem in the Clarendon corridor. They have special iced teas that I especially like and the food is good. It's sit-down seating

“One of our favorites”

This is an authentic place and has great food - if you like the style.
I would highly recommend the chicken pasteia, I'm not spelling it right, but it's a chicken meat pie wrapped in pastry and powered with sugar. It's like dinner and desert all in one.
I also like the lamb and the chicken with lemon.

I don't like the beer or wine they have - go for the food and atmosphere

“Good Food...Taste of Ripoff”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

I bought a groupon deal worth 20 bucks having never been to a Moroccan rest. My fiance and i decided to pay a visit. First off, the place is old and dated. seating is ok and there seemed to be the preferred crowd. Server seemed grumpy and old like the owner...didnt seem to like the young crowd and wanted us to rush the order. tea was cold and silverware was dirty. Ordered the "food from heaven" special. Bill came up to $21.45 in an old piece of paper. Presented the groupon deal and was told to "head to bar to pay"?? There is no bar! Where is the service here?? So I went to the window room and gave the deal to the owner. After applying the $20 groupon on a $21.45 check. I was left to pay $15. What the F-@&!!! I asked him why... He said VA tax is 20%. The math still didn't add up for him. He asked me where I am from.....I am VA born and bread A-hole Left and never went again. STAY AWAY!! This place doesn't deserve to remain open. Don't get trapped on online deals.. No point.

“Good Food and Filling”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

I've now visited Taste of Morocco twice and thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time. The food tastes delicious, interesting, and exotic. The only problem I've had is that I eat too much each time I've been there, which is easy to do when you order their multi-course meals. The atmosphere is also very cozy and warm.
