We went to the Melting Pot for a ladies night out and had a great time. The food was great and the service was great. Our waiter (can't remember his name but he was from Ethiopia) added a little special touch to the food and spiced it up a bit. There were only 3 of us, and the food was more than we could comfortably eat. This was only my second Melting Pot experience and it keeps me wanting to come back for more!

We had a sisters weekend in Washington, and went to dinner at the Melting Pot. The Fondue was absolutely "out of this world" delicious! Everything was perfectly flavored and very well displayed. The service was outstanding and we did not feel rushed in and out (our server was Rob, -really great). You HAVE to have dessert, although every course was excellent, but the chocolate fondue was sumptuous. I have been to many restaurants, and HATE to pay for a horrible meal and poor service. We LOVED this place and it was sooo worth it. Go and enjoy yourself at the Melting Pot!

I love Fondue. It's usually a fun experience, especially when with a large group of friends. I was looking forward to dinner at The Melting Pot with a very large group of friends.

The food was delicious. There wasn't enough of it.

And then there was the issue with payment - the server had no idea how to split a check. The person who made the reservation was charged when it was made, then told we could each pay our own, then told one person had to pay the food, but the drink tabs could be split. When the checks were brought out, one person was told to pay for a tab he had already charged on his credit card.

It also took about half an hour to get the checks to our party after they were requested.

We were at the restaurant for nearly three hours, in total. And not three hours because we weren't ready to leave - three hours because they couldn't get their stuff together so that we could pay and leave. In that three hours, we were asked only twice - once in the beginning, and once near the middle - for drink or refill orders. Otherwise, unless he was bringing food or taking away food, our server was nowhere to be seen.

We were also told, quite emphatically, that we would forfeit our (already paid for) reservation unless we were on time. Our party was on time, but it took them nearly fifteen minutes to seat us after we got there, despite the fact that the restaurant was fairly dead.

The whole concept of The Melting Pot is wonderful. And done correctly, it must be a great time - particularly for a large group of friends. It was not done correctly when we went, and that is a huge shame.

You can get a 4-course meal for two for $89. It includes a choice of cheese fondue (with bread, apples and some veggies), a choice of a salad, a choice of meat/seafood pieces, and a choice of chocolate sauces (with pieces of brownies, cheesecake, red velvet cake, rice krispy treats, and marshmallows.) The service was excellent. The quality of the food was good. Compared to meals at other places I wasn't sure that the price was worth it. However, the experience is fine and a nice alternative to traditional dining.

This casual spot has great milkshakes and interesting, tasty sandwiches. Salads are good as well.
