The recently renovated AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 features fewer seats than before, primarily because all of the old seats were replaced with huge recliners with electronic controls so you can lounge back in your seat while watching your film of choice. So don't show up sleepy or you might doze off. The theater also features the new "select your seat at the ticket office" policy, which can be annoying if you don't know the layout of the theater (raised or floor-level row, etc.) or if you choose seats next to jackasses who talk or text during the film. I think this policy was instituted to cut down on the opportunity to sneak into theaters other than the one for which you purchased a ticket. AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 screens typical mainstream multiplex fare, and their concession stand does not sell beer or wine as does Angelika. But if it's a general release film you're looking for, you could do worse than to see it here.
