“Time for TEDs to consider another line of business”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Three years ago. Ted's was a great place.. Good decor, great ambiance and good food. Today, They should just consider closing shop or going into another line of business. From the front desk through the line all the way to the cook; they just don't care.
The receptionist doesn't care, the waitress is doing enough to make her wages and tips, the bartender couldn't care less and the cook sent out raw meat.

The food is edible - three years ago, they were great - and the choices on the menu have remained static. I would suggest you go spend your bonus somewhere else

“The buffalo don't roam . . . they're now sitting on your plate (!)”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

I guiltily and shamefully admit I love America's great plains treasure, Buffalo . . . particularly between two halves of a bun. (I'm sorry, but there you have it.) They rightfully should be roaming on Ted's ranch, but instead he's pimped them out for your dining pleasuare, and a pleasure it is. Try the Duo -- a little pair of sliders where beef and buffalo duke it out for you favors. With no small degree of irony, they mark one with an American flag so you can recognize it. I would give this place five stars but I flunk their wine list: absolutely nothing of interest there at all. They could try offering a few attention-deserving imports by the glass.

“Love the waiter”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

We were attracted to the place because of the bison theme. This is a good place to eat but the best part of the experience was the wait person, David. A native of the area (how many of those are there?), he had the rare gift of being able to adjust his serving schedule to accommodate our wishes. He knew his menu and retrieved the answer to our questions when he did not have it in his head immediately. The delivery was good and he followed up to resolve a minor problem when the food arrived.
The food: I had the salmon, it was excellent, done properly with good seasoning and nice horseradish sauce on the side. My wife found the bison meat loaf to be very good, with good flavor and nice texture. The squash side was overdone, David had a replacement in less than 5 minutes. The mashed potatoes were great on both dishes.
My son in law had a bison burger and was very pleased with it. My daughter had another bison burger, said it was ok, but not great. Both would have been better with a traditional bun. The zinfandel was excellent, as were the ultimate vodka martini's. The decor is wood, nicely done and of course with the obligatory bison head on the rear wall.
The restaurant is located in the Ballston Commons area. It has outside seating as well.
We certainly enjoyed the visit and would love to return when in the area again.

“Good food”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Food was good, I had a Bison Bleu Cheese / Bacon burger and onion rings. Service was good too, but as expected at lunchtime took a little longer than I wanted. Oh well:)

“OK Grill, Not Living Up to its promise”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Had a reasonable dinner here in July, but not up to the calibre of other Ted's that i have attended. Wiat staff was trying but not well trained, pouring a bottle without offering a taste, food rushed and not served with any style and overall just an average experience for what could be a much better venue.
