The outside of the memorial was a decent tribute but if you get a tour on the inside of the Pentagon you get much more from the tour guides.

Unusual design & somewhat confusing at to what the individual memorials represent. Perhaps it is more attractive in the evening. Parking is a problem....we had to go to a Macy's pay for parking garage.

This memorial is an odd one. I know it will be unpopular to disagree with the other favorable opinions especially in light of the reason for it's existence however this memorial is another attempt for the creator to outdo other memorials. It just doesn't make the mark and requires a pamphlet with explanation of its meaning. Old school memorials were more self explanatory. Abstract artists will appreciate this one.

We had limited time, but stopped at this memorial. Very well thought out. I bet it is beautiful at night

Quiet, almost understated at night with low light and benches, the people that died are remembered with dignity. Many of the service members were Navy seals who wanted to view New York on the new big screened televisions in the new Command Center. One general had come in early to do his job. Secretaries had arrived early to get things ready for the day. The passengers had just buckled up and ...well some must have known their fate in the next few minutes. Look at the location of DCA and the Pentagon. It gives anyone with any humanity in them a cause for pause, prayer, and thanks.
