I enjoyed watching The Hobit at this place while dining. While the place is dated and might need a face left at some point, it did not affect the overall pleasant experience. I ordered fish and chips which was well cooked. I'm defiantly going back.

caught live music and live standup comedy here on the same evening. the quality of both were definitely very average, but there was no cover charge for either one, and the food and alcohol prices weren't jacked up to compensate. definitely an option on a chilly, windy night to staying at home / hotel room

The Arlington Cinema N Drafthouse offers good pub fare, a full bar, and pre-dvd movies at a great price. The wait staff are unobtrusive and quick to refill your drinks etc. Admission on Mondays is only $1, Friday offer reduced fee wine tastings before the show and on weekends there is often live comedy. For newer movies, I would suggest buying tickets in advance, bu,t regardless, always get there early in order to grab a good table.

I've been a fan and customer of C&D for many years. I've watched them struggle to get on their feet and now they actually have matching chairs and decent food. It's really cool to be able to eat, drink (alcohol and non), while watching a movie or being entertained by a comedian. The movies are usually not first-run, but always good. Some nights they have comics and they follow the usual format of comic host, followed by beginner comic, and then the headliner.

Last week we attended a comic show with friends where the headliner was Deon Cole. He is the raunchiest comic I have heard in a long time. Every other word was bitc... or mother..f..... Folks like Richard Pryor and Red Foxx also cursed, but they were funny. Mr. Cole was not.

I was embarrassed that I had taken friends, and was appalled that anyone would think cursing is funny. About one-fourth to one-half of the audience was laughing, but the rest of us were not, and either he didn't notice or didn't care. So, if you are going to a comic show, I strongly suggest you research the comedian or call the theater.

Oh yeah.... they also have wine tastings on Fridays, and they have a smaller venue off their lobby where they play music or have beginning comics with a $5 cover. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the bathrooms need to be cleaned up.

Other than the raunchy comedy thing,... it's a really fun place.

It's a little worn around the edges but the seats are really comfy and for second run movies--especially $1 Mondays and $2 Tuesdays--you can't beat the deal. Forget the menu: the food is pretty awful with the exception of the popcorn. The beer is overpriced, but that never stops me.
