Owner description: The AF Memorial was dedicated on October 14, 2006 to honor the men and women of the AF and its heritage organizations. It is located in Arlington, Virginia, adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon. Since its opening, it has been a place of honor and remembrance. It offers a place for the community to learn and appreciate the rich history of the AF through displays, AF Band performances, Memorial/Veterans Day commemorations and veteran-related events.

The USAF Memorial manages to capture the essence of aerial combat. The only problem visiting this memorial the is lack of parking and ease of access.

We saw this memorial as part of a twilight bus tour. Being up on top of the hill gives you a bird's eye view over Washington. The memorial is very striking especially when you're standing at the base of one of the three forms. You really do feel like you're looking at a missing man formation.

Just a short walk from the Pentagon Memorial, so no excuse not to check this out too. Note: If it's windy weather, you'll feel it even more there.

A little difficult to find worth it . The spires can be seen from around the D.C. area but there is also a large patio with life size statues o fa color guard . Large walls with inspiring inscriptions the most heart rending -"Tell them we gave our todays for their tomorrows."
Our memorials are important for our children.
the missing man formation is beautifully shown in etched glass or plexiglass.
The pentagon memorial is right down the road. there is no parking there so it's best to walk.

A fitting tribute to the Men and Women of the USAF!!! Love the visual of the jet exaust that the center piece creates. A little out of the way, but definitely worth the stop... No cost, like most of DC's atractions.
