“Restaurant Meh”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Not an exactly exciting or innovative menu for a place that's billed as high-end and charges the prices it does. The atmosphere is nice. We friend and I (we did a "girl's weekend in DC") noticed some bias from the wait staff because we were two women eating together. We actually had to wave at the waiter several times to get his attention, and yet he was obsequious with the other groups dining there. Disappointing.

“Good food, high prices.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

A friend and I had dinner here when we were in town for business. We were also staying at the hotel. We were after the dinner rush so we were seated immediately at a good sized table for two. The server was very professional. Maybe because it's buried in a hotel, but the restaurant lacks atmosphere. Even though the restaurant is it's own space, I felt like we were just in a quieter corner of the lobby. The restaurant has a pretty good wine selection, if you are looking to buy a whole bottle. Buying just a glass slims the selection significantly. I ordered the salmon with asparagus and whipped potatoes. All of the food was delicious, but the serving of asparagus was disappointingly small - four spears! I expected more from a $30+/entree restaurant.

“Typical hotel fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Menu contains the usual "safe" offerings. Service was fine during dinner and breakfast (didn't eat there for lunch). I found breakfast to be pretty overpriced given the offerings, but dinner was more reasonable.

“Way off the Mediterranean”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

This restaurant is marketed as haute Mediterranean, but it hardly lives up to its billing. The wait staff put forth a forced pleasantness, but they barely attend to one's needs. I was singularly disappointed overall although the food was palatable.
