Recently stayed for three nights for a business trip. It was clean and comfortable and I would stay again if I needed a place in Crystal City due to price and location (a block from the metro). There is also a free shuttle from National, however keep your eye out because it is marked with the name of another nearby Marriott. Pool is nice because it is separated from the gym so folks on the treadmill aren't watching you. All of that said, it is just another hotel in another city. Nothing special or memorable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the entry side away from the highway.

We stayed 2 nights over Veteran’s Day weekend.

Rooms: Got a room with 2 double beds on a high floor. The room were adequate for a weekend stay– comfortable beds and pillows, very uncomfortable desk chair, plenty of closet space for 3 people, surprisingly small bathroom with a noisy toilet, large window that faced the office building next door, etc. The major drawback to our room was that it was quite noisy.…
- Even though our room faced 20th St., we could still hear noise from the Jefferson Davis Hwy….firetrucks, honking, police sirens, etc.
- Could hear people in the next room flushing their toilet.
- Could hear talking in the hall.
- Ice machine across the hall.
- Loud fan for the heating system.
- And oddly enough, we did not hear any airplane noise from Reagan Airport.
- If you can, try to get a high floor room on the Bell St. side – even numbered rooms ending in 02 to 18 from what I could tell. I’m guessing that those rooms will be quieter.

Restaurant: Ate breakfast at Bell20 in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is $17 and is overpriced in my opinion, unless you eat the made-to-order omelet, a pile of smoked salmon and a big bowl of raspberries and blueberries. I preferred walking over to Crystal Drive and grabbing something at Corner Bakery or Cosi instead. The bar in the lobby was small, but actually very pleasant with lots of wines by the glass in various size pours (3, 6 and 9oz).

Service: Very friendly and efficient. Check-in was easy and the bellman offered us some of the complimentary hot apple cider upon arrival – a nice touch on a chilly night. The restaurant/bar staff was also great.

Other: We stopped by to check out the pool and fitness center. Both were small and really nothing special. Self parking cost $24 per day, but at least, the lot seemed safe and was easily accessible via the underground tunnels. Didn’t have to use the airport shuttle, but while having some drinks at the bar, we noticed that it departed regularly.

Location: The hotel is not walking distance to any tourist attractions, but is very convenient to the Crystal City Metro station (Blue and Yellow lines). The Yellow is a good way to get to the Mall via L’Enfant Plaza (~10 min). The Blue is convenient to Arlington Cemetery (~5 min) or Metro Center (~15 min). You can also take either one to King Street (~10 min) in Alexandria. On the weekends, the trains ran about every 15-20 minutes. Check the schedules though at www.wmata.com. The hotel is also walking to about a dozen restaurants ranging from the low end (Buffalo Wild Wings and Cosi) to the high end (Jaleo and Morton’s Steakhouse).

Just a few final comments….
- On the weekends, the subterranean tunnels in Crystal City were almost empty and I can imagine them to be a little creepy for some people, especially if they are alone.
- I would highly recommend Jaleo for tapas and Farrah Olivia for an upscale meal. Both are walking distance from the hotel.
- Don’t get confused with the Crystal GATEWAY Marriott which is located across the street. I overheard at least 2 families make that mistake.
- We paid $99 using a AAA rate, so we were satisfied with our stay, but next time, I’m bringing ear plugs….

It's a good place to stay. Location is good – close to Crystal City restaurants and within walking distance from Pentagon City mall. Rooms are good and clean. If you got business there – it's quite a good choice

Awesome location, 100 yards for Crystal City Metro stop. Very nice room and friend staff . The hot apple cider in the lobby was a nice touch for the cold evenings. I took my parent (in their 70's ) to DC for their first time. The walk to the metro nice for them. (indoors) .

My family visited the DC area in July and stayed here for four days. The Crystal City Metro station is connected to the hotel which made traveling into DC a breeze. A hot breakfast was available each day for a small fee, rooms were comfortable and clean, and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a small shopping center/mall connected to the ground floor of the hotel just past the metro station. Other local eateries and chains surround the area. We felt safe and comfortable traveling around the hotel area, and best of all, our car stayed parked during our entire stay since the metro was so accessible. All in all, a wonderful experience! We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We visited DC for a few days and were trying to maximize our sightseeing opportunities. The Crystal City Metro stop located below the hotel is incredibly convenient - you don't even have to leave the building to get to the hotel. Crystal City also offers a number of options for quick dining within a short walking distance of the hotel - there was even a farmers market on the street on Tues. afternoon. As Marriott Rewards members we were offered free internet when we checked in. The hotel has a well-equipped workout room. The hotel bar is nice enough to meet friends for a drink, and serves Starbuck's coffee in the morning! The rooms were clean and daily service was timely. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone based on the price and location.

Room Tip: Staying on a higher floor helps you avoid some of the school tour groups.

One of a few great locations for near Airport, Arlington, Metro to anywhere D.C. Stayed a week on business and had chosen to stay many times over the years for extended stays. Friendly staff with high quality accommodations. Fair value considering the location. Plenty of chain, and uniquely local restaurants within walking distance.
