I stayed here for 4 days in June. The hotel was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I had a studio suite with a kitchenette, which came in handy for cooking a few meals. There's a grocery store and a mall just a few blocks up. It's in a very convenient location. I walked and sometimes took the convenient shuttle bus to the Metro train station. I enjoyed the breakfast and even the pool table in the lounge with a friend. The indoor pool and sundeck were nice as well. Since I had my 10 year old niece with me, the guest laundry rooms were excellent for washing her clothes. The hotel staff was nice and very helpful.

One caution for those of you with children... about 9pm I was flipping through the TV channels and came across open PORN on one of the networks (possibly HBO). Be careful letting your children have control of the remote control at night!

Overall, I had a good experience at this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

We stayed here after a business trip in DC. The location, near the Pentagon City Metro, made travelling very convenient. And the rooms were big, fresh, clean, and appeared recently remodelled. I was very pleased with the excellent complimentary breakfast buffet and free broadband internet access in the rooms.

Check-in and reception was ok (the staff were generally helpful when asked, but somewhat cold at times). Got the rooms from the Marriot website at $109, so I would say that for business travel, this is very good value for money.

Recently had a weekend stay at the Residence Inn at Pentagon City. Although the directions on the website were a little confusing(I ended up driving around the Pentagon parking lot!) I found the place without too much trouble. After you take the exit stay to the left and loop all the way around underneath the overpass.

We checked in relatively quickly. When we arrived there was firemen and someone was having some medical problems. Also, some young girls were trying to climb out of a window on the third floor. It was a bit chaotic but the front staff was very friendly and helpful and put our minds at ease that there was nothing wrong. We parked in the garage ($18 per day). I pretty much just left the car there while we were staying since driving and parking in D.C. is a nightmare. If you fly into Reagan International the hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up.(I came in through BWI..no shuttle). I would recommend that you not even rent a car if flying in at Reagan. Take the metro...

After arriving in our room we used the shuttle that night (free transportation to local restaurants until 11pm) to go to eat. The front desk will provide you with a list of restaurants that the shuttle will take you to just ask. When the driver takes you to the restaurant then ask him for a business card and then call to have them pick you up when you are done. The driver Larry was very helpful and friendly.

Our room was a queen sized bed with a pullout sofa. The pullout was very comfortable and the regular bed was clean and had lots of pillows and nice bedding. The room was quiet and I didn't hear anyone while trying to sleep. We had requested a high floor and although we were not facing anything of interest except a parking lot and some high rises we had a nice view for a lightning storm. If you want to be near or perhaps away from the pool and fitness center they are located on the second floor.

The refrigerator came in handy for storing waters and the such. I did not use the kitchen for cooking but it had everything you would need to whip up something to eat. If you want the front desk sells a lot of different grocery items for purchase downstairs.

The hotel was crowded and completely full. I did not make use of the pool because it was really packed with lots of children and very noisy(it was the Girl Scouts national convention that weekend). The exercise facility is small but usable.

The breakfast was so busy and not very clean. I think that if I had gone on another time that was not as jam packed that I would have enjoyed it more. There were plenty of selections but I just could not even get close to them at times. A lot of the items were empty and there were lots of dirty trays and dishes everywhere. The staff just seemed a little overwhelmed with the sheer volume of people there.

About a block away from the hotel.(Turn left out of the front entrance and left at your next street and head down half a block or so) there is a mall (with a food court Starbucks, McDonalds, BBQ, Cajun, Pretzels and the like.) In the mall downstairs is the entrance to the Metro train. You can purchase single or full day passes for the train. I purchased 3 all day passes for 19.50 and they came in handy.

We traveled on the metro up until 9:30 pm or so and walked back to the hotel and felt safe. The area around the hotel is pretty much industrial and well lit. I probably would not walk around alone by myself but with a group it is fine. If you feel uncomfortable walking just give the shuttle a call and they will pick you up.

Check out was easy. The only trouble that we had the day we left was that the elevators were out of service for a short period of time because one guest was stuck between floors.

This hotel had very clean and comfortable rooms and a very friendly staff. I would stay here again in a minute but if you go on weekends just be prepared for some crowds. For the price it cannot be beat and you will enjoy your stay and save some $ for sightseeing and some nice dinners out. Enjoy.

Great value - stayed for Friday and Saturday nights. Beds were very comfortable, and the kitchenette was ideal. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful, even though the hotel was very full. Free breakfast is excellent. Five minutes walk to the Pentagon City shopping center, and safe, even at night. I left some clothing in the closet and it was mailed back right away. Would stay again and again.
