My husband and I stayed at the Hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff we encountered were very helpful and informative. The breakfast included many choices and the hot foods were hot and everything was replaced quickly.
We would definitely return to this hotel on another visit to that area.

I had the pleasure to witness my lifelong friend of 47 years be sworn in to the Bench on July 27th and stayed at the Residence Inn. The staff was friendly, rooms were nicely appointed, breakfast was free of charge and the location is perfect. It is located two blocks from the Metro in a peaceful part of Arlington. There is a mall with plenty of restaurants to choose from next to the train station

Earlier this year while planning a trip to DC I only searched hotels in DC proper. When we finally make the trip we will be staying at the Residence Inn. Rates were reasonable for the area.

Truly enjoyed the visit.

Mixed bad here really. Depends on what you want and need. I traveled with kids, so some of this was important. Couldn't use the pool, not that it wasn't open, just that it was filthy. Hot tub had paint chips at the bottom of it. Paint flaking of in many places. Water is pool was murky. This is an easy fix, so it could be different for the next group. Breakfast buffet is just plain bad. Hot food is cold,,,cold food is stale (cereal). Juice machines were empty. Plates come out of dishwasher dirty. This part of the experience needs an overhaul. Rooms are great...clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Hotel is located in easy distance to Metro and DC attractions. This place simply needs some fixing up and care. Not worthy of the name Marriott in some places.

Loved, loved, loved this hotel! It was clean, spacious, and had the friendliest staff I've encountered in a long time. Every person, from the desk clerks, housekeepers, and food servers were pleasant and always had a smile.

The location was a big plus...safe neighborhood (across the street from the Pentagon), close to the Metro, a shopping mall, Costco, and CVS. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to any destination within a mile. They dropped us off at the mall a couple of times and took us to the Metro. When we did choose to walk, those destinations were a 8-10 minute walk.

The free dinner on Wednesday was a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed delicious fried chicken, squash, salad, and fruit. Another night we enjoyed the free popcorn and ice cream. :)

The room was more than adequate: the king studio had a full size refrigerator, sink, and a small dishwasher. Internet connection was also free, and we used the onsite business center to print boarding passes for our flight. The bathroom had granite counter tops and was spotless. No ugly mold or mildew here. The full sized closet had mirrored doors, giving you a full size view of your outfit before heading out for the day. The flat screen TV was a plus, too.

We arrived hours before check-in time, and the staff graciously offered to hold our bags and suggested the nearby food court for lunch. We hopped aboard the shuttle van and were there in less than 2 minutes.

It was a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: With 16 or 17 stories, the higher up, the better the view of DC. The hotel is very near an airport...

I was in DC for one week in August 2012 and was extremely happy with my choice of hotel. The hotel was recently renovated. The rooms nice and clean and all the kitchenware new, clean and shiny. I was in a studio and found it to be spacious enough for one person and everything was conveniently located. The hotel is close to the Pentagon City Metro, Pentagon City Mall, Supermarket, 7/11 and CVS Pharmacy. It is just a convenient location. There is also complimentary wifi in rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a shuttle to transport and return for you within a one mile radius of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast and dinner were not the best but there is easy access to restaurants and a food court at the pentagon mall. It was a comfortable stay and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a nice view of the city

Stayed in room 1022. You have an awesome view of the Pentagon. When walking to the Pentagon Memorial, you were not allowed to take pics of the Pentagon so this room is perfect to see it. The staff was amazing. Very friendly. Warm breakfast in the morning was really good. The room has refrigerator , microwave and dishwasher. Comfy couch and big tv. I will be back again.

Where else can you get a 2 br suite within 5 minutes if the metro line at these prices? Hotel is very clean and modern, and the complimentary breakfast should please all family members. Avoid the higher prices in DC and stay here.
