“Comfortable, convenient.”
Reviewed June 24, 2011

Spent Father's Day weekend in this hotel. In the past I've stayed at the Marriott Gateway just a few blocks away, but this one is just as comfortable but bigger room and with kitchenette.
Had my daughter (from Philly) stay with me and she claims to have been very comfortable sleeping in the sofa bed.
The hotel is just one block from the Metro's "Pentagon City" station, which goes to DCA airport as well as downtown/Center City/Smithsonian/Capitol attactions of Washington, DC.
Breakfast was fine (bagels, toasts, eggs, sausage patties, oatmeal, waffles, and all breakfast beverages); staff was corteous at breakfast and at reception (specially attentive when shuttle to airport or Pentagon City Mall was needed).
Pool and exercise room are small.
I've stayed in Arlington/Pentagon City/Crystal City many time before at different hotels; this one is the one I'll book next time when I need to go to DC.

Room Tip: Ask for a view towards Washington or the Pentagon.

I stayed here on a business trip June 5 - 10, 2011. I've stayed in several Residence Inn hotels. This hotel is nice and it is clean, but it is a little dated. My room was typical of a Residence Inn; however, the coffee carafe was broken at the pour spout. The breakfast was very good and they also provided an evening happy hour with free beer or wine. I also used the exercise room -- again, it was typical of a Residence Inn and in good condition. The location is great. I walked to Pentagon Row every night for dinner. It is also a short five minute walk to the Pentagon, which is where I worked during the week. I will be staying here again in the future.

This was my first time in a Residence Inn, and I was pleased. It was an apartment-like layout and a kitchenette. The breakfast was really good with waffles, cereal, muffins, and it was a huge buffet. The staff was friendly and they also do a good job of handling your luggage and shuttle service to the airport. This is a place to where I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a room on a high floor. The view is great

stayed here for 8 nights; great location across from Pentagon, close to metro & supermarket. Aircondition worked great, despite 100F+ temps outside. Breakfast included, friendly staff.

I stayed here for 06 nights during the first week of Jun11 and must say the Hotel is just great. It is located close to Pentagon city Metro, Mall with a good food court and tonnes of shopping, a huge Harris Teeter grocery just behind the mall and so shopping or food is not an issue. I stayed in a two bed room suite with a colleague and strangely the hotel has a wired internet router in one bedroom only- this is a major handicap if the person chooses to work late and if he is staying in the other room- may be its time they offered wireless internet free throughout the hotel- the free WIFI in lobby is just great. breakfast is nice and the exercise room is adequately equipped for cardio.Over all this is one of the best Residence Inn I have stayed and will continue to. Hope Hotel management looks into the suggestion for wireless in rooms....

This hotel is in a great location - only a 5 minute walk to the metro where you can catch the blue or yellow line, both of which will take you to pretty much all of the major sights. Metro access was one of the major factors I considered in choosing a hotel for our vacation so this hotel was great for that. Yes the ride might be a bit longer than if you were to stay at a hotel right in the heart of the city, but it's so easy to take the metro and the slightly longer ride was worth it for a slightly more affordable hotel.

The staff at the front desk is very friendly, which I think is hard to find at a lot of the more upscale hotels. The breakfast buffet was amazing - they have cereal, yogurt, granola, fruit, bagels, english muffins, eggs, potatoes, sausages, a waffle station, etc - so there is something for everyone and we never had a problem getting enough food or a table to sit at.

The room had everything we needed, including a full kitchen which we didn't really use but enjoyed having a full sized fridge to store water and drinks. The free internet was also a major bonus and another major factor I looked for in a hotel because internet was a must and it was very hard to find a hotel in the area that did not charge you for it.

Overall this hotel had everything we needed and we quite enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel would be great for a business traveler or family. For us, the kitchen was of no use and we spent very little time in the room. I'd much rather have had a king bed with better bedding. The location is good--just a short walk to the metro. Unfortunately, the Metro wasn't working while we were there, and a cab ride was about $12 to the museums. There is a Harris Teeter grocery and a nice mall within walking distance as well.
The hotel was very busy and the elevators tended to be a bit congested. Staff were all very friendly and the rooms and public areas are very clean. A free shuttle will take guests within a one mile radius. There is also a free breakfast buffet which has a nice variety and much better than the average at many hotels.
Parking is a little high at $21 per day, but you have unlimited access in and out. The price is consistent with most big cities.
