This is a nice memorial dedicated to all of the women who have served. Simple and easy access. Air conditioned and the displays are lovely/well put together. Dedicated to their military service through the years. Some displays are very emotional. Dedicated to those that have lost their lives. One specifically dedicated to a gal who recently lost her life in Iraq. Very emotional. Her family donated very personally items. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Arlington Cemetery.

“Needs more Exhibits and Info!”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

What is there is a great tribute to the women who have served our country through military service, but it seems only like a cursory overview. I would like to see more extensive coverage of all of the groups. It seems rather hit-and-miss, possibly because these are the areas where they have people interested or willing to tell stories of experiences. Some of the material will give you a tidbit and leave you saying "Wait, what? I want to know more about this!" Still, it's very good that women finally have a museum like this.

Expecially poignant were messages left by women who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan, including some obviously honoring fallen comrads. Not actually part of the interpretive material, but some of the most emotionally moving material in the museum.

“Good but not great”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

This is located in Arlington National Cemetery and pays respect to the Women in Military Service. It is what you think it would be. Unfortunately, I do not think that they do enough to highlight this memorial or make it more interesting.

“Interesting Museum”

This is a well laid out tribute to women in the military. If you are interested in military history, don't miss it in your next trip to Arlington Cemetery or the Washington area. The displays are well done. Lots to see here

“U.S. Navy Retiree (YNCS(AW))”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

I was thrilled to share my own military experiences with my 10 year old grandson! My husband and I are both retired from the Navy. It was a privilege to share such historical milestones with our grandson during our weeklong visit to DC.
