We are lucky enough to live within a couple miles of this place, and we make it a regular stop. We go early, so we usually arrive when the dining room is half empty around 5 pm, and by the time we leave, it's usually full with a line forming. Korean is the first language here, so meek honkies may feel a bit overwhelmed. Service is good, but you NEED TO USE THE CALL BUTTON on the table to get it. Overlook it, and you'll think you're being ignored.

The menu is typical of many Korean places, and includes Japanese food and sushi. They do barbecue at the tables buy I usually go with sushi to start and hot stone bowl bibimbap. Within 10 minutes of your order, your table will be stuffed and overflowing with all these little dishes of things you didn't order, but which are part of the meal. Those not used to Korean places will be surprised. If it's your first time in a Korean place, you can probably order a bit less than you think, because sampling, let alone finishing, all these tasty little platters will fill you up pretty quickly.

The food is consistently good, but the decor and carpet are getting a bit shabby -- the place gets a lot of traffic, 24 hours a day. It's also very kid friendly.

If you like good food and don't mind a bustling foreign scene (or familiar scene, if you're Korean) then don't miss this place.

I don’t know much about Korean food, nor am a big fan of it. However went to Ye chon with some friends who had lived and worked in Korea and who swear by this place – for one thing it’s an hour drive away from where we live in DC! We got there fairly early on a Friday evening so there was no wait as we’d been warned about. The dining room’s not very big and simply decorated. Service was efficient and our orders came quickly. The menu’s extensive (with Japanese dishes as well) and rather overwhelming. We had fried kimchi dumplings (very good, nice and spicy but not overly so), seafood pancake (quite tasty although it was large enough to feed a family of four and a bit more doughy than I’d preferred), clay pot of tofu with seafood (quite flavorful although the mussels were very tough). Also had a beef (bulgogi) and rice dish (bibimbap). Overall, would say that everything’s quite delicious, and each dish had sufficiently distinct flavors. Personally I would have preferred everything to be a bit more delicately prepared but this is a family style place and not fine dining. Price’s very reasonable –you can be easily stuffed without breaking the bank. Be sure to check out the Korean bakery café Breeze next door too for desserts!

This is our favorite restaurant. We drive 35 miles to get to it. The food is consistently excellent, and it's open 24hrs! Some of our favorites: The Kimchee Dolsot Bibimbap comes in a hot stone bowl, sizzling hot!, and the kimchee adds a unique taste and smells like hot sauerkraut. My wife always gets the DaeJi Bulgogi, and has it made in the kitchen rather than at the table. It's seems to be better meat and cooked to perfection (If you've never grilled at a korean table bbq, you should try it). The Seafood Pancake is full of shrimp, scallops, and scallions. The sushi is good, but you can get sushi anywhere. The side dishes, or panchan, are varied and numerous, including dried anchovies, seaweed salad, cold mashed potatoes and peas, fish cakes, sweet black beans, kimchee, pickles, and many more. Before 10pm, the waitresses dress in traditional costumes (hanbok), after 10 the men take over serving duties. The service is a team approach, feel free to flag down any wait person for help. Also, if you're not familiar with real Korean restaurants, you have to flag someone down after your initial order (ie, for more beer, soju, or napkins). We have always been treated very well here.

As a non korean at first i was not too sure what to order. But once i saw some items that were more "american" i ordered those. The place is clean and busy, we arrived at 1130 on a friday night and it was buzzing but not too busy. The service was plesent and the food was really good. I will def. go back again. Now keep in mind its pricy for food, the entires are about $15 but come with enough food for two ppl if you dont want to eat a ton.
