“Surprisingly Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

Loved the wine, loved the setting, loved the views, love the fact that we hadn't planned it. The Cabernet Franc is their absolute best. Pity there was no one else there when we arrived.

“Many fine wines to choose from”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stopped off for a tasting last weekend and were pleasantly surprised at the large selection of fine wines offered at this winery. Large deck overlooking a small lake and an equally large tasting room with a large fireplace.

“Avoid specially if you are Indian- very rude staff!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

The staff has the worst attitude I have ever seen. Avoid specifically if you are south Asian or person of color. I found them very discriminatory. They were rude and obnoxious and asked us to first buy a bottle of wine if you want to sit outside on the deck. Ofcourse we were there for wine tasting, so why rub it in that we must purchase first. Good luck if you still decide to go.

“"Just Ok"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

My wife and I have visited several wineries in VA this year. She had been looking forward to our visit to Narmada Winery. We were quite surprised by the lack of knowledge possesses by the staff performing the tasting. I would also say the pour for the tasting wasn't enough to adequately provide and assessment. Lastly, the price for the tasting was high. We didn't try the food as the portions seemed extremely small for the price. We ended up settling on a bottle of Rose, which was just okay. With over 200 vineyards in the state of VA, I think we'll continue on our wine journey.

“The first Indian American winery in Virginia”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

The wines were just ok. We went on a very hot day and wanted water before we tasted the wine. We were surprised that the only water they had was in plastic bottles. I gathered that their well water was not tasty. but nonetheless plastic bottles take the atmosphere down a bit. They also have Indian food. The samosas were all we tired. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. I had been getting their emails for over a year and I guess the emails led me to expect more. The winery is very nicely decorated and the service is decent. Food and wine are still developing.
