Stayed here for business and the rooms are old, dark and a little musty. For the rate I paid I could have stayed at a Ritz Carlton. Would recommend looking elsewhere for a lower rate and newer room. Close to Alexandria businesses, however.

We were in town over the holiday weekend visiting family. This hotel was within 5 minutes of their house in Alexandria, and was just a 5-15 minute drive from downtown DC. The staff was very friendly. And they were accommodating when we arrived around 3am, which was several hours before check-in, and allowed us to get into the room.The buffet in the lobby was convenient and served standard options which were all good. Kids under 12 ate free which was also nice. They did have a parking garage (which was free for guests). The rooms were decent. As some guests mentioned, it was a bit loud in the hotels from the traffic (the hotel is right on the freeway). And other than a 7-11 and CVS across the street, there wasn't much aorund as far as restaurants or shops. But for our needs, it was worth the money.
This hotel is quite a interesting route from the highway to get to. Little over above average accommodation.Rooms are OK, but need updating. No safe deposit boxes or safes in the rooms.
The staff is however great, from the front desk to all other staff, polite and helpful. Breakfast included, quite nice, buffet style, good selection. We would probably take different location next time, but only because of location,not accommodation or service.

Hotel staff was very very supportive. The room had no microwave and we had packed food for our vegetarian parents. The hotel provided us with a microwave to use.
The room had stained carpet, damaged bath tub with dents and painting stripped all over. $21 per day parking was the craziest part of all !!

The property is a bit old, but looks like it was recently renovated. If you have a room facing the parking garage, be prepared for traffic noise from the 395, car alarms going off and sirens. Also, it seems like it is under a flight path of helicopters that fly over pretty low. Other than that, it is pretty much standard with other Courtyards I have stayed - breakfast was decent. Not many places to eat around that are walking distance. The free wifi was pretty fast

Thank you for your feedback. Please accept my apologies for what sounds like a less than ideal guest experience. Our hotel is in fact located conveniently off of I-395 and our proximity to the Pentagon does periodically result in some low flying helicopters, but generally the disruptions to our guests generally are kept to a minimum. I am pleased to hear that the rest of your stay was to your liking.
