We were in the area for a vacation to Washington D.C. The room was really nice and the staff was very helpful. There were a lot of choices to choose from on the breakfast bar. (Although some of the people staying there didn't know how to clean up after themselves). It was very close to the Van Dorn Metro Station.A boy scout troop of about 40 was staying there at the same time. Unfortunately, there is only one shuttle to the metro. We had to wait for thirty minutes each day before we could get to the metro stop. Therefore, we were late meeting up with our group who was staying in the D.C. area. My suggestion would be to have more shuttles if there is a large group or for the group to make arrangements to get to the metro station another way.

Room Tip: We chose a suite. It was good if someone wanted to stay up longer since there was a separate room.

I went with 11girl scouts and 4adults for the 100th Anniversity of GS in Washington, D.C. this hotel was very reasonable in price, close to the metro, breakfast was very good. Lots of choices for the girls. Rooms were clean. The pool was nice, too. I would go back to this Comfort Inn again for a family vacation. The staff was excellent-very helpful since we were from out of town.

Great location!! Staff was excellent. Can't say enough about the shuttle they were ready to go when we were and back at the station when we were ready to go back. Other than getting out of the parking lot the hotel is in a great location close to restaurants etc. Continental breakfast was very good and a great variety of items. Would recommend staying here to anyone going to DC

During our visit to D.C., my family stayed in Comfort Inn and Suites in Alexandria rather than the more expensive Arlington or D.C. The cost savings was substantial and during off-rush hours it only took us 20 minutes to drive into D.C. for sightseeing. We looked online and found a garage for $20 (max daily rate) about 1 block from the National Mall. This was cheaper and more convenient than all of us taking the metro to D.C. and back in the evening. Besides that, Alexandria is a very lovely town to stay in, much safer than other "less expensive" areas that we had considered in MD or along New York Avenue in D.C. We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn and Suites and would recommend it.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor which gave us the option of using the stairs if the elevator was in high...

So my expierence here was nothing but pleasant. the employee's, the area and hospitallity was golden from the moment I step in the hotel. I came in late night from a delayed flight an chris and sad where at the front desk and very welcoming, asked about my day and where i was comming from which made my night, chris answered all my questions and made me feel right at home. the next day i met atif the front desk manager and was very polite in giving me info about the area and transit service provided at the metro i would definitly consider comming back here and recomend others to come visit. location was a little remote which was great for me to check out the town.

Room Tip: the new suites are incredible

We travel to this area to visit relatives annually. This hotel is close to the people we visit. It has definitely improved over the years. The interior has been upgraded and they now have a limited restaurant available with light food in the evening. Overall, the hotel offers what we need during our stay--a comfortable clean place to stay. This year we stayed in a suite which was a wonderful surprise. We had a room separate from our sleeping room with a couch, computer desk and flat-screen. For those traveling into D.C. there is a shuttle available to take people to the metro subway system. The staff is helpful and the breakfast, included in the rate, is a full meal by anyone's standards. The one drawback to this location is the entrance/exit. It is situated on a hill and when you enter or leave the hotel you are in a high traffic area and sight is limited because of the hill. It is a challenge. However, the price is reasonable and the comfort is just right!!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger and quieter
