As a local, this used to be my favorite bar - hands down. There was great staff and great management & the food was also pretty decent for bar food. I had a couple of months away and came back to find the manager had left and so did everything else good about this restaurant. The staff is poorly trained and the General Manager is a complete jerk & incredibly unprofessional. Example, I was there with a party of 12 on a Friday night and we ended up with a HORRIBLE server - there was a point when we were a table of 12 with 12 empty glasses. Eventually, a couple of people ended up getting up and going to the bar to grab drinks. When the food came, about 1/2 of the table enjoyed their dish and the other 1/2 were left underwhelmed. At the end of the meal, there was a automatic 18 or 20% gratuity added, which was expected, but in this case we asked to speak to the Manager. The manager came to our table with an attitude, we explained our issues and that not one person at the table thought that the server earned anything over 10% for a tip (& we're all former restaurant workers and great tippers in general) at which point the manager basically told us too bad and ended by saying "if you're so unhappy with the place, how about you not come back again".... You've got it, buddy!
