Got a babysitter and went out with the hubby. We didn't make reservations, but it was after a stormy day, so we didn't think there would be a wait. If there was, we were prepared to eat at the bar. When we got there, there was a small wedding going on in the reception hall off to the side, that was fun to see. We sat at the bar for about an hour and the beer and wine list was extensive and the by glass options were plentiful for wines. We sat at a table by the window which provided a great view of the sunset and the airport, kind of cool to watch planes landing, but couldn't hear them. Menu is distinct and options included fish, shellfish, chicken, beef and vegetarian. Appetizers were unique. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We spent about 3 hours having dinner, which is a first since our son was born. Great location on the water and away from the bustle of Alexandria's Old Town, no issues with parking! Would be a good site for a family gathering as well. Several birthday parties were going on that evening as well.

I just went here last weekend for a first date, and it was definitely a good choice! The food was delicious, and the location is really nice--right on the water, watch the plane land and take off from DCA. The service could have been faster, but if that's my only complaint, that's pretty good!

We had perfect weather for an outdoor Saturday luncheon. The crab cake was very tasty! Very nice atmosphere. I've also had lunch here during the week. The service was swift on all occasions. I hear the Happy Hour crowd is upscale. I plan to check it out....

Great view on the outdoor patio right on the edge of potomoc looking out to downtown D.C. and the airport. You can watch the planes take off from the airport and boats sail about. When the weather's nice and there's a breeze, it's awesome to sit back and relax. However, the food is quite expensive ($25+ entree, $12+ wine & appetizers) while of average quality and low quantity (typically no accompanying starch or salad). Customer service is good overall & very family friendly. Suggest walking over next door where's there's a modest, cheaper bar/cafe that is closer to the water also with a better view.

I had dinner on a beautiful Sunday evening and the while the view was very nice, both service and the food was just ok...definitely not worth the price. I had filet mignon and my friend had shrimp bucatini and I would not recommend either dish. The entrees are priced between $22 and $28, so you feel a bit cheated when the quality is lacking.
