We went for brunch after church with an extended family group, age 28 to 92. Everyone found something delicious. Our table had traditional breakfasts (French toast, omelets, eggs Benefict) traditional Italian fare (pastas in cream sauces, prosciutto and melon) and unexpected treats on the menu (oysters on the half shell, soft shell crab, river trout, calves liver with a delicious creamy mustard sauce). Every plate was empty at the end of the meal.

They were also very accommodating, as 1 person had to leave early for the airport, so they served her immediately, (as the rest of us were still arriving,)and one arrived late, but had pre-ordered through his wife, and they timed his meal perfectly for his late arrival!

13 of us had a wonderful brunch for a total of $290 ( tip included ). I would definitely recommend this place, but call for a reservation.

Have returned after a year of absence and had recommendation of corvina, a filet of fish which was very light and excellent. Service is as usual excellent and enough glass of wine to choose from. Had a glass of Vionier from Chile. It is a jewel of a place I recommend highly.

Been going there for years. I used to drive by it. Then I saw it in the local Entertainment Book and liked the looks of the menu and we tried it. Wow, one of our favorite places and we dine out a lot,and have been all over the world. It's fine dining in a bright open airy, converted gas station, complete with white table cloth, fresh cut flowers and rotating art deco canvasses on the walls. The menu is extensive and has lots of choices with seafood, pasta, and veal combinations creatively served. The service is very attentive and friendly. The owner welcomes you like you are family. Tonight I had oysters Rockefeller to start, grouper and scallops in pesto sauce as entree and an apple tart for dessert (the latter spotted on the dessert tray). My wife had tomatoes and mozzarella for appetizer, vitello parmigiana with shrimp as entree, and fruit tart for dessert. She had a nice pinot grigio to drink, and I had beer. All delicious. It's really tough to pick off the menu because it all sounds so good. We take out of towners there when visiting and they love it.

Tempo is a family run French/Italian restaurant well away from the Washington DC tourist haunts. You can't get close to it by Metro, although it shouldn't be hard if you have a car (there is parking). Entrees run in the $20 range and feature lots of veal and seafood. There are prix fixe specials on Mondays and Tuesdays, and they serve a great dinner on Thanksgiving.
