Friends made the reservation to honor my husband for his birthday. I read the reviews and was looking forward to a great meal. Well, not disappointed. Our server, Bernard, was attentive and very personable from start to finish. We were six people and ordered the chicken, seafood stew and the lamb. As we finished our main courses we were discussing what we would order on our return visit. Desserts were too good. The restaurant is upscale but caudal attire. Enjoy

We went to The Majestic for the first time with a party of 12 people celebrating a birthday for someone turning 50 (me...shhhh). Making the reservation was a pleasure. The people we dealt with over the phone were professional and friendly, even though we kept calling and adding people. The restaurant ambience is slightly dark but very cozy and inviting. Four people in our party were vegetarians (including me) and they didn't have many options for vegetarians. I had the vegetable platter which was underwhelming except for the beet ravioli portion. That was great. The rest of our party had seafood and said all the dishes were very good. This is a high quality, well thought-out restaurant. They did mess up a little at the end when they came to my table and said my credit card had been declined and did I have another. Turns out they had a swiping error and the card was fine. They could have just swiped it again and been good. That was a little awkward in front of all my friends. Otherwise, great experience.

Decided to stop at the Majestic Cafe while in town after reading some reviews online. We were able to find room for 12 without a reservation. Had the Chesapeake Bay Seafood Stew for dinner. Food was very good, but at $24 for a few pieces of seafood quite a bit overpriced. The same was true for the beverage selection.

This restaurant is such a gem! Great food, fun atmosphere and seasonal specials is what makes this place such a great find. Prices are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it!

We had dinner for a party of 7 at Majestic. It is a small space, but comfortable with a diner type feel. The service was prompt, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening. We ordered several apps to share. A delicious chicken liver pate with a dark cherry relish, fresh guacamole made table side and served with warm mini soft tortillas, and shrimp bisque. All had a real home made taste. The bisque was a bit salty but creamy with a fresh seafood flavor. Mains included a seafood stew, scallop dish served on squid ink risotto, and a delicious roast chicken with couscous . All of our party were happy with what they ordered. we found a good Cab France to accompany the meal. We shared an order of Churros with chocolate dipping sauce and a mango tart for dessert. The tart was outstanding. Churros, by nature, are a bit greasy for me, but they looked and tasted fresh and authentic. Overall, a very nice evening, reasonably priced. They offer a price fix menu which includes an app., main course, and dessert for 39$ The steak and some of the seafood dishes have a 3-5$ surcharge if ordered as part of the price fix deal.
