Description: History has been written inside the walls of the Wharf, with its 1790's style architecture featuring original wood columns and beams that are charred black from a Civil War fire. Since 1971, satisfied diners have been heading to The Wharf in Old Town for whole Maine lobster, local soft shell crabs and prime steaks and chops. The restaurant has recently been renovated and remodeled and the menu updated to include many contemporary seafood items along with their traditional Chesapeake Bay creations. Our 2nd floor Dining Room is perfect for Banquets and Private Parties. Can seat up to 60 people.

Very good sauteed soft shell crabs, I especially recommend the fried oysters over succotash as an appetizer. Their red sangria was also delicious.

We were at Whart Restaurant at 1:50pm. The restaurant was not busy at all. We ord 2 appetizers for starters. By the time they came it was 2:30pm, we were very irritated with the service and at the same time we were starving. After we completed the appetizers, the main courses came in at 3:20pm!!! The service is far too slow for a restaurant that is really good. The food really was not that bad, but I would never go back. I may never go back to this restaurants till they figure out the logistics

Being the Reunion Chairman for our F.C. Hammond H.S. class, I contacted our dear alum/friend: Ralph Davis regarding the possibility of holding our 47th "mini-reunion" lunch at his The Wharf. "Sure, Susan, I'll place you & our alums in our upstairs private dining room." I was successful in gathering around 14 of our N. VA resident alums for this small but, excellent event! There was of course, the gracious host of the restaurant: Ralph to greet all of our alums, excellent entrees enjoyed by all present, alot of laughter and stories shared by all. A thoroughly successful event held at our dear friend Ralph Davis wonderful restaurant.

Friendly and accommodating for a larger party that joined our reserved table at the last minute. Good service, and good food! Steak, salmon, and shrimp linguini, all excellent. Pricey but tasty. Kid friendly as well.
