Description: Opened in 1998 in the West End of historic Alexandria, Virginia, Clyde's at Mark Center is a vivid celebration of sporting life on the water. Thirty-five years after Clyde's opened in Georgetown, this property showcases our evolution from restaurants to full-scale atmospheres. From an Adirondack fishing camp to a Chesapeake Bay hunt club, each room memorializes the beauty and adventure found on the water. When you can't visit Nantucket in person, Mark Center is gloriously outfitted with antique model sailboats, a replica Potomac boathouse and a cozy beach shack and bait shop that's ready to welcome any sea dog.

Very normal place. Nothing much to say. Prices reasonable, food average, service OK, wine selection quite normal. Would not look forward to go there, but if it is close to the hotel would go there for a change.

The Clyde's family of restaurant's is an institution in the Washington DC Metro area. The entire group is very well managed. The wait staff is always well trained. The food coming out of the kitchen is consistently very good. They do a brisk business at all locations for both lunch and dinner; plus the bars are always popular with the 40 and older crowd. The menu includes a broad variety of fish, seafood, steaks, chops, and vegetarian dishes. Their tap water is always filtered, which is especially important for the Downtown restaurants. Go with friends and experience great food, drinks and service in a warm atmosphere!

We were trying, without success I might add, to find a reasonably priced, good restaurant in the Alexandria area (without too many negative reviews) and came upon this wonderful restaurant hidden in the middle of apartment complexes in Alexandria, Va. Words cannot express how terrific this restaurant is: from the decor in all the dining and bar areas; to the wait staff who are extremely knowledgeable and courteous to the.....food - there are no words to express how delicious the food is - the special of the month was rockfish (which my husband had) which was sweet, moist and cooked over the top to the crab cakes (one of their signature items) which were 95% crab w/o any filler and superb. We had oysters for an appetizers and they were also 'over the top' and the dessert menu was also terrific but we were too stuffed for anything else......we will definitely be back to this 'hidden gem'.

We were in Alexandria, VA with a large group. Called Clyde's for reservations as it was close to the hotel and seemed to have a diverse menu with reasonable pricing. Both were true. They had a special on mussels which were extremely fresh and very well made with a delightful light tomato sauce with a small bed of linguine optional. People with beef dishes were equally pleased. We actually went back for lunch the next day and the food was also well received. Management was very helpful. We had a person in the group with an extreme food allergy and they managed it very well. Service was efficient and pleasant.

Attended my friend Bill's momentous (= ending in a 0) birthday celebration Sunday afternoon and came away making a mental note to self: this is the place to book for special parties. I had driven past it many times and never once noticed it, semi-hidden in its wooded lot.
Inside, we had The Back Porch, and about 50 guests fit there comfortably, with plenty of room for dancing to the 4-member Mariachi band. The space wraps around a bar and is decorated in a maritime and fishing theme. The only sour note: the Bloody Mary was way too harsh, but the Mimosa that took its place was perfectly balanced: not too juicy nor too boozy. The finger food was varied, abundant, and there was nothing that I tasted that could be called less than very good. And the servers were prompt, courteous, and friendly without being overly familiar. This place has really nailed it, on all counts. I'll be back.
